It will be a tough day and I am oppressed by many afflictions that would have stopped a a weaker vessel.

My right arm, hand, and best typing fingers has been infected with the poison ivy. But I just bit bit down on a tree limb like the Cowboys did in the Western's movies while the doctor treated my arm without any anesthesia. I also self soothed with the Cheetos during other moments of deleruim to keep from passing out.

Perhaps they will have to amputate the itchy arm tommorow but it is all about the race today.

This year for me can be described in one word: mediocre. I thought Chastain had a good strategy by taking two tires when he was in the top 5, but shortly after the green flag dropped, he fell like a rock.

Same for me, I got lousy results with Byron and anything less than a T5 result from him is a failed pick imo. I would probably have changed my pick if I known he hit the wall qualifying but I still thought they were good to get at least a top 5.

I always try to get at least above the average finish of the driver for the whole year.

I've had horrific luck this year. Denny battling for the lead with 2 to go, winds up 30th. Bubba top 5 with 2 to go, ends up 13th.

What the heck happened to Gibbs? Top 5 all day and must have picked up damage on that weird restart with a the different tire mess going on? Finished 32nd. Dang
Wondering the same thing…was the next guy behind Larson with four tires and fuel to start that long green flag run to the final yellow and fell off the face of the earth.

Yeah, they were getting wild on the outside and he was following the 5 down low . . . then 18th, then 22nd, the pitting under green.

I guess either made some contact somewhere or perhaps something off with the tires from the previous stop. Of course we would never hear anything about it from Fox. Top 5 car all day goes MIA then makes a green flag stop and they have nothing to report.

"What a Difference a Week Makes"

A week following the race at Dover Motor Speedway that saw 20 players pick a Top Ten finishing driver, only four players managed to pick a Top Ten finishing driver at the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, none of which finished in the Top Five.

Congratulations to @Conover and @2 Sweet, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the eighth place finish of their pick, Kyle Busch.

The "Most Upward Movement" award went to @Michfan (for the second consecutive race) and @2 Sweet as their picks resulted in each of them gaining five positions in the standings.

The "Slipping & Sliding" award was shared by @hmmm298, @FLRacingFan, and @Magicmiler after disappointing finishes by their picks that caused each of them to drop four spots in the standings.

The "Top Five" club remained unchanged although the players in positions two through four made a significant move towards the top spot, held by @DC76 for the second consecutive race.

The "Wiping Up The Rear" award made an awkward appearance following the decision by @Old 97 to make an eleventh hour change in his pick from race winner Kyle Larson to last place finisher Jimmie Johnson.

A good swift kick in the nuts probably would have felt better than seeing how his change in picks worked out.

Crazy week with so low finishing picks. Wallace barely finished in the top half, but it still moved me up two positions, so I guess I’ll take it. Not completely satisfied though as I expected better from him.

When you want that Golden Throne soooooo bad, you doo what you gotta doo!!!!!

Damn disappointed in Chastain. The battle he and Larson put on in the first stage was epic! He had speed to run top 5, not sure what happened but that was a important pick and to come out even sucks
