After two really bad races from the 21 at Martinsville and the 6 yesterday, morale is low at the shop. Both cars were up at the front when the troubles hit.

Taking everybody out for popsicles this afternoon. We’ll be back. 😎

Somebody needs to address the elephant in the room: The late race starts at 3 p.m. creates enough of an atmospheric difference to change the entire chemistry of the races, and it has a domino effect.

I reckon I would be leading the thing if the races started at the conventional times.

You might want to talk to @Clutch about those start times . . .

Congratulations to @superchuck500, the recipient of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award following the first place finish of his pick, Kyle Larson, in the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The top of the leader board had a slight shake-up when @antman12 used Denny Hamlin's second place finish to move into a tie for the top spot with @kkfan91, who settled for a 16th place finish by Brad Keselowski.

Following the Darlington race that saw few picks finishing in the Top Ten, 14 players picked a driver that finished the Bristol race in the Top Ten including 13 players that picked a driver that finished in the Top Five.

The sometimes uncanny mojo of @ol'whatshisname appears to have resurfaced as the fourth place finish of his pick, Chase Briscoe, makes it four consecutive races that he's picked a Top Ten finishing driver.

Along with the "Highest Finishing Pick" award, @superchuck500 snagged the "Most Upward Movement" award when he moved up nine spots in the standings.

Finally, the "Slipping & Sliding" award was taken by game newcomer @ken thanks to the 30th place finish by his pick, Michael McDowell, which caused him to drop seven spots and out of the Top 20 in the standings.
