Well, Larson has $#*+ the bed tonight. The tires mess is bad enough, but he speeds on a caution pit stop. Now he’s gone far enough to officially advance in the playoffs, so he doesn’t care where he finishes. I’m screwed.

I'm happy with a P13. I gave Heim consideration but was scared off by his poor qualifying performance.

Can't complain though.

15th from a car that wasn’t fast all weekend. 🤷‍♂️

Gotta do amazing the next two weeks, cuz Chloe has picked backmarkers for the final five races.

I'll eventually figure out how to play this game
Ya just gotta pick the driver with the same initial as the first letter of the city and state that the race is in while taking into account the month we are in, along with the letter that the number of fans that are in attendance starts with. Or something like that.

Well my time in the lead literally went up in flames. 😂
Yep, this is a cruel contest. I’ll never surrender, but I know my time as the leader this season will now only be relished as a fond memory of what might have been….🫩. Nevertheless, our crew is preparing options for remaining races, and hoping for a dramatic series of Hail Mary surprises.

I wonder what the record in this game is for consistent mediocrity. As in being just good enough to not be mentioned at all for being the best, worst, or for top 10 streaks or literally anything at all.
I have to be close to the record for most consecutive weeks without being mentioned by @pjmolo.
Consistency I guess.

Congratulations to @kkfan91, @RayinTX, and @ol'whatshisname, the recipients of the "Highest Finishing Pick" award thanks to the first place finish of their pick, Christopher Bell, in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The on-going breakaway battle at the top of the player standings dissolved completely following the combination effects of @kkfan91's pick of the race winner and @Mr. E's pick of Josh Berry, whose car done blowed up early in the race, resulting in his dead-last place finish.

JINX ALERT
By picking a Top Ten finishing driver in each of the last three races (including two Top Fives) that has given him a commanding thirty-six point lead over second place @Mr. E, along with a half dozen quality drivers left in his stable with seven races remaining, @kkfan19 now appears to be the odds-on favorite to finish the season at the top of the heap.

Membership in the Top Five Club remained unchanged, if not worse for wear, as they and nearly every other player of the game lost ground to the standings leader, especially the ten players that picked the hugely disappointing Kyle Larson, who finished five laps down in thirty-second place.

The "Most Upward Movement" award was taken by @RayinTX as a result of his upward movement of six positions in the standings but as it turned out he was only able to move two points closer to the leader.

Based upon his pick of Kyle Larson, his loss of 29 points to the standings leader, and his drop of four positions in the standings, the "Slipping and Sliding" award was unceremoniously put in the possession of @aunty dive when it was fastened with a length of rope to the back of his sled while his dogs were napping.

Not to be forgotten was the presentation of the "Wiping Up the Rear" award that @Mr. E added to this trophy case after sitting on the top of the player standings only long enough for him to enjoy a proverbial cup of coffee.

Let it know that along with @Brentford, @LibertyU24, and @Michfan, @hmmm298 has yet to pick a race winner twenty-nine races into the season although he came close when his pick of Alex Bowman finished second to Austin Dillon at Richmond. :puffin:

A correction to the "+/- Points Relative To Leader" column.

A 29 point loss was incurred by @ToyYoda and @Michfan while @Spotter22 took a 30 point hit.

Discipline action against the responsible bean counter has been initiated.

Picking the race winner is overrated. 🙄

The item concerning those that haven't yet picked a race winner was suggested by ol'whatshisname, whose name was finally removed from the list following the Bristol race. :dirtbike:
