NASCAR vs IRL vs CART.

No kidding.

It's the most popular because that's all Americans will watch.

Well excuse me for watching an American sport in America. Didn't know that was wrong.

Oh yeah, same goes for F1 fans. Do you think most of them watch NASCAR?

Didn't I already say this in this thread already? ;)

Seriously, I love NASCAR, IRL, F1, CART, AMA anything with wheels and a course (or circuit if you will :)).

Except for monster truck rallys.

It doesn't need to be going roundy-round for me to enjoy it.

But I'm sure someone will come along and twist this into me saying that so-and-so isn't a real fan bla bla.

It's not all Americans will watch.:) But, does appeal to a lot of us. I will watch road races. I would even watch street races if there was some way to make the race safe with the heavy "stock" cars. But, I do prefer the circle races.:) I'm not going to apologize for it either.:D

Sort of think it's something to do with the fact that NASCAR basically is an oval track series......may not be what some would like, but that's the way the sport is. It's popular because most fans like it that way......and until most fans decide otherwise, it'll most likely remain that way.:)

OK....am I in???? Let's give it a try.

Stock car racing is fun to watch because it has a semblance of cars you "know" racing against each other. The Aussies have a Touring series and V8 Super Car series that have the same draw...even the Brits and Germans.

F1 is just the ultimate. F-16s on wheels. CART could be cool if they could just get themselves organized. IRL...?...on the surface seems cool, but is nothing more than a plate race without fenders. Artificial. Period. Get rid of the rev limiters, then I'll pay attention. As it is, I don't need to watch a contrived "shell game".

Just my opinion.
