I don't have a dog in this fight but I had to watch this again and again last night. I don't root for or against either of these guys but there's a huge difference between Brad's maneuver in turn 2 and Carl's on the front straight-away. The move be Keselowski was nothing more than we've seen many, many times throughout the years of racing. It was nothing more than a result of hard racing when that contact was made. Both drivers going for the win on the last lap. Heck, both drivers continued side-by-side out of the turn. Keselowski beat him through the turns in 3-4 and Carl simply decided to dump him coming to the line. Carl's response was way out of line. More on the line of road-rage @ 100+ mph.
NASCAR seems to be still discussing this issue and something will probably be announced today. I don't see how NASCAR can do anything after not doing anything other than probation after Atlanta. Atlanta seemed to me to be far worse than what happened the other night. That was more like a scene from Days of Thunder. 156 laps in the hole, Edwards mission was to hunt Keselowski down and he finally did @ 190+ into the outside wall. They seemed to have painted themselves into a box at that point with the 'Boys have at it' mentality. Good idea but there still has to be a line somewhere. I thought that line was crossed @ Atlanta but apparently not. If that line is beyond those incidents that we've already seen, I'd hate to see it crossed. That's not going to be a good day for any of us!
