Nationwide At Gateway

Bump-n-runs, there's a right way and a wrong way. A couple weeks ago, Busch and Johnson swapped bump-n-runs in the final laps of Louden. Busch got JJ in the bumper and moved him up the track. JJ got him back by....simply getting his bumper and moving him up the track to get the win.

Then there's the wrong way, retaliation the Edwards way. Have you noticed that when Carl retaliates, multiple cars are destroyed?

I used to like Carl, but not any more, that was no way to race. A lot of cars got torn up that shouldn't have. I'd really like to see Nascar sit Edwards , but he will probably just get a slap on the wrist.

Might just as well as apparently he's not man enough to finish what he starts and IMO, Edwards wasn't trying to get anyone lose - Keselowski slid up into him and the 99 didn't lift.

Yeah, dream on...... Thats why carl tore his left front fender off turning down on keselowski. Look at the replay. And he admitted to going after him in the interview, so how do you twist it into:

"Edwards wasn't trying to get anyone lose - Keselowski slid up into him and the 99 didn't lift."

My only hope is that Edwards gets "Nadeau syndrome" at Indy at 205 MPH.

Can you imagine the vehicular tyrade Edwards would have went on, if Brad waited til turn 4 to bump him, and went on to win. Edwards would have had to spin him out and be an a$$hole on the cool down lap. Guaranteed.

Rusty was right about one thing.. we'll be talking about this for a long time. ;)

screw Edwards, to me Brad is a far better driver and I like how he races Carl is a bum who is out there to wreck him. If you look at all their incidents Carl sure seems to be a fault a whole heck of a lot more. The move by Brad is just a good old fashioned bump and run, Carl however dumped him. Hopefully Brad goes out and puts Edwards in the fence at ORP:mad:

No, Brad has to do it at the brickyard, when they're doing 200+.
Carl has his pilots license, he'll do just fine in the air.:beerbang::beerbang:

Thought better of it :)

Wrecking the 22 on purpose is one thing. but to admit it is just stupid. Carl would have been better off to say something like I just misjudged it and clipped him, but no he had to stand there and basically say I wrecked him to win.

And Brad was willing to wreck Carl to win EXCEPT Carl is good enough to SAVE THE CAR. At least Carl is not a liar

So by that argument, why wasn't Carl able to save the car when he got sideways on the tri-oval at Talladega?! Guess he just ain't good enough to save a car when it's turned perpendicular to the wall at full throttle!

The worst part about all of this is that he didn't even care about the other cars that got wrecked because of him.

And what did Brad do?

Brad was just as responsible as Carl for that incident. Who really got the worst end of the deal though? The Nationwide Teams that where struggeling thats who. Penske has a bundle he can spend on Kesolowski but a majority of the drivers who got involved where smaller teams that cant afford to crash cars. Since both Edwards and Kesolowski have no respect for the small teams they can sit in the pits and fight it out there while the Nationwide Series is running there race.

I don't know either.

I don't have a dog in this fight but I had to watch this again and again last night. I don't root for or against either of these guys but there's a huge difference between Brad's maneuver in turn 2 and Carl's on the front straight-away. The move be Keselowski was nothing more than we've seen many, many times throughout the years of racing. It was nothing more than a result of hard racing when that contact was made. Both drivers going for the win on the last lap. Heck, both drivers continued side-by-side out of the turn. Keselowski beat him through the turns in 3-4 and Carl simply decided to dump him coming to the line. Carl's response was way out of line. More on the line of road-rage @ 100+ mph.

NASCAR seems to be still discussing this issue and something will probably be announced today. I don't see how NASCAR can do anything after not doing anything other than probation after Atlanta. Atlanta seemed to me to be far worse than what happened the other night. That was more like a scene from Days of Thunder. 156 laps in the hole, Edwards mission was to hunt Keselowski down and he finally did @ 190+ into the outside wall. They seemed to have painted themselves into a box at that point with the 'Boys have at it' mentality. Good idea but there still has to be a line somewhere. I thought that line was crossed @ Atlanta but apparently not. If that line is beyond those incidents that we've already seen, I'd hate to see it crossed. That's not going to be a good day for any of us!

:beerbang:Wow, well said.

Yep well said, and 60pts docked plus probation is hardly enough for what Edwards did.
