Nationwide at Montreal

We all know the series is headed to Montreal on a road course. This is also Danica's first race in a stock car on a road course. They are definitely not her strong point but Im hoping for a good run. It will be interesting for sure.

The driver who impressed me the most is Alex Tagliani, his Nationwide debut and he ran 3rd in this morning's practice. Way to go Alex.
 
I'd consider her just finishing a good run. A top 20, or better, would be icing on the cake.:beerbang:
 
Will be a intresting race with a fair few cautions, will be exciting to see Ambrose and Edwards work there way up from the back cos their not qualifing the cars

Trevor Bayne only turned 1 lap in this practice. Im wondering why...:confused:
 
I have read that the Province of Quebec has announced that they will quit funding this race and this will be the last BGN race on this circuit? It's over some disagreement with High Octane Promtions/ISC. Anyone else read anything about this?
 
Who is Owen Kelly? Is Maryeve Dufault locked in? It would be kind of amusing after all the talk she didn't even make the race.
 
Owen kelly is trying to make a name for himself in the US.he has a v8supercar background but unlike Ambrose has had very little success having said that he hasnt been in top level equiptment, He races as a co driver in the endurance races and normally puts in a fairly good performance,

He has driven a few late model races and from memory had a top ten finish in NNS at road america last year.

So far this weekend he has been quick in both nationwide and the rolex series were he is co driving with Boris Said.

I think the invisable man is Owen Kelly in the 9. DanicaFan you would b happy to know 9 &60 are to the rear that moves her up 2spots

Im actually disappointed. She starts 25th. I figured at worst she would start 20th but possibly around 15th. Well, I hope she can stay clean and has good pit strategy.

But look at Alex Tagliani, that is awesome! First Nationwide race and qualifies P2. Love to see him win it too, be great. Good job Alex!

I wasn't able to watch qualifying in Montreal so I am wondering about Ambrose. Did he decide not to make the trip?

Owen Kelly practiced and qualified (rather well) the # 9 car for Ambrose and Billy Johnson did the same with the #60 for Edwards.

Yes, it was, but they switched the race with Bristol which moved it back a week.

It's infortunate that you're going to miss it as I'm expecting it to be a good race.
 
Alex Tagliani will probably end up winning the bonehead of the weekend award, he does enough stupid moves in Indy so I don't expect anything less from him in the Nationwide race.
 
OK, this makes no sense. ESPN is showing the race, but ESPN HD isn't. WTF? Anyone else's cable provider doing this?
 
Lots of fans and lots of energy. It would be a damn shame if NA$CAR pulled this race and sent it to another cookie cutter.
 
4 pages and the race hasn't even started...got to like that.
