Question about Sadler wreck. Why does the guy on the OUTSIDE (Amirola) brake BEFORE the guy on the inside?

Leffler had no intention of running that turn entry the same way he had all day. He even brakes and then lets off to hit Elliot.

Lefler had a extra big bowl of stupid this morning for breakfast.

I think his legs are too short to reach the pedals.

That's just mean! :D

Jason was correct when he said that Elliott slowed in front of him. That was obvious from the infield replay angle. I was talking to my buddy on the phone as it was happening and we called it.

There was no way that Elliott could have held that speed, or that line, and maintained control. Maybe Jason should have realized what was about to happen and backed out. But then Aric would have hit the 2 anyway. They were side-by-side for position.

I see it as one of them racin deals. Elliott made a high-risk maneuver and it didn't pay off. I thought that Jason was great in his post-crash interview with Jamie Little. (Oh, Jamie! ;-})

I'm just glad that Morgan Shepard was able to walk away. He had a couple hard hits! I am sure that someone will give (loan) him a motor for Homestead.

leffler is a jerk. he tries to wreck you if you pass him. races way over his head.

I'm looking here and it seems to me that Sadler just came up in front of Leffer  I guess the people here think they could have not hit him.

Honestly, people pass me all the time and then pull in front me and I can tell you that I've never hit one of them.

I think Leffler could've avoided wrecking Sadler but didn't. That's my point.

and I see it totally different, Heck I'm a Sadler fan and wanted him to win the championship to me this was nothing but a racing deal. Sadler comes up in front of Leffler they are going well plus 130 right you're not going to be able to react that fast at them speeds. Plus as someone else said Aric would have hit him if Leffler didn't so either way it comes back to a racing deal.

I have no problem with your interpretation of the wreck but I still hold to my own.

I like Sadler too but leaving the racing surface and going down to the apron was not the hot set up today. I'm wondering if Nascar is going to do anything about preventing this from happening tomorrow or if the track makes changes so that it doesn't happen next year.

To me, that is like using the shoulder to pass when you are on the highway. Don't expect everyone to stay out of your way if you want to use part of the pavement that wasn't meant for passing.

Watch the video closely, and you'll see Aric back off to enter the turn. He wouldn't have hit Sadler. A split second later, Leffler backs off slightly, then runs into him. Almost like he reacted slow, but in time, then his brakes faded. Since Jason never said that, I assume he he intended to run that turn a lot faster than Aric on the outside.

Really happy for Hornish, I've always liked the guy and it was nice to see how happy he was in Victory lane.

Wallace was trying to reclaim the bonehead of the week award but Leffler wanted it more.

quick comment...kinda like a dirt track slide job...sadler got in front clear but had to lift or brake 'cause of momentum...leffler didn't have much of a chance to get on the binders...and didn't.

jmo.

And you probably also still think that it was Brad's fault when Carl Edwards got airborne in Talladega too, right?

I realize that you may believe that you're the forum "police" but don't for a second think that I have any intention of answering to you and your roillin' eyeballs.

Have the last word as I'll waste no more time on you.

I think you just did

Gotta agree with you there. He has no excuse not to have at least a win this year.
KHI doesn't even have a win this year (except stewart at daytona). THey have had Harvick, Bowyer, Dillon, and Menard in those cars and still haven't won. I don't think it was all Elliot.
