Nationwide History 300 at Charlotte Charlotte

Just another Sat afternoon drive for these guys. They are just out there having fun, but tomorrow night the pressure is on.

I think Larson had a bad last pit, go only two and got beat out by four tires. If they would have got him out front, that would have been interesting

Kyle is going for the "Sam Snead" record (in golf)...just pile up wins....good for him.

Kyle racing in the NW series is like playing a NASCAR game on Xbox will all of the easiest settings selected. It's just that easy for him.

Damn I hate that..... Soooooo nitro when you comming to NJ to get your coffee
I should be on the way to Englishtown right now, but because we have cut our schedule in half this year I won't be there. But, I will take a rain check for next year.:)

Hey will you look at that, Steven Wallace ran a clean race and finished 25th (A bunch of laps down but that's besides the point) haters be damned lol.

I had some errands to run and just finished watching the DVR'd race. Nice win for Kyle.
Kasey wasn't fast enough today for there to be any controversy :D
Impressive drive by Kyle Larson. Pastrami needs to go back to the X-Games

I still hold out hope for TP.. If he sticks with it he'll figure it out. He's a hell of a driver and has cajones of steel. Realistically though, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets sick of paying for wrecked racecars, ruining rep and leaves before any success can be reached... I hope I'm wrong.

Great drive by Larson!!! It's only a matter of time for that kid. It's gonna have to be a race like Iowa or something.. KyBu has to be hundreds of miles away. haha

He was driving the hell out of it for the free pass and like every other driver I've ever seen race, let it get out from under him. I don't know if he'll make it in Nascar or not but appreciate the fact that he's willing to actually race for a position.

I kinda see some similarities between Travis and Robbie Gordon . You know there is lots of talent there but it may not happen for him . He may run out of money and patience first. Hope he makes it , he is still a rookie and it will take a couple of years.

Pastrana comes from an off-road racing background and he's driving for Roush Fenway, who took the last two drivers' titles in the series. His current position is 15th, so he's hanging out with drivers like Joe Nemechek. I don't see why he's being cut so much slack when that wasn't the case for Danica, Sam, Dario or any of the other Indycar transfers.

Perhaps some more time in ARCA or sprint cars would have helped Travis, but now that he's in a Nationwide car he needs to put up the results.

These series' eat rookies up . It takes three years to get to know the tracks , the racecars and your competitors . Yes , the great ones do it quicker , and on the other side ,lots of the new guys fall by the wayside . For a rookie ,any rookie , to run with a veteran like Joe Nemechek is pretty special . The guy is a legend . Sure ,as an owner /driver , it has been hard for him to keep up with the big money teams but the guy always had talent . A special guy like Kyle Larson comes along once in a blue moon . If everybody could run in the top ten , it wouldn't be special.

I don't see how doing tricks on a motorcycle, or racing one transfers over to what Travis is doing. Ricky Charmichael tried it, last I saw of him, he was announcing a moto cross race. Larson on the other hand has raced on four wheels starting with Go Karts and moving up because of skill. What it amounts to is a rich guy with a name, trying to race in a top level racing series. He bought his way in. I don't know how long his money will hold out, but he has a steep learning curve to overcome. I like what he is trying to do, he definitely has the nerves to race, but his lack of experience is sad right now.

I'm a Kyle Busch fan in Cp, but in NW I would rather see anyone win besides him. Well, besides John Wrecks Weekly and Jaques WreckingNoob that is. I was pulling for Larson to get it at the end, but I think he made the wrong call -- I think either taking 4 tires or staying out may have given him a shot at the win. Either way, though, he still got 4th. Solid finish for a guy with a lot of talent but has been having ****** luck.

And about Pastrana -- is anyone really suprised he is sucking that much? I thought we already learned our lesson about that with Ricky Carmichael. After all, he DID gas it head on into a wall...

I actually like Carmichael and thought he was making good ground learning how to drive a stock car. If it wasn't for Monster pulling his funding and jumping to the Busch bros, he might be in a competitive Nationwide team now. He did run some races for Turner.
