Nationwide Race - Las Vegas

Congrats to Danicafan ...good solid run ..just missed the top 10 she wanted .. ran really well

Nationwide still has carbs.The fuel they were squirting in the front was to fill the bowls on the carbs.Which would let the car start then hopefully pick up the fuel from the tank.

Yeah, I just saw them lifting the carb off the #7. I thought they switched everyone to EFI. So.......nevermind.
 
Danica is doing fine. I also like thats she isn't happy with 12th.

Cole Whitt impressed me. He raced hard but smart all day.
 
I listened to Danica's scanner all race and she did a good job of giving feedback. They got the thing dialed in pretty well be her lack of experience and tendency to be cautious hurt her on that last restart. Then she used up her stuff trying to get around the 09. Really good run for her overall. Everyone that finished in front of her has thousands more stock car starts than she does.

Props to Cole Whitt and Johanna Long as well.

I'm happy that Miss Thang had a good run today! But I am also happy that she finished out of the Top Ten, cause had she gotten a Top Ten, Andy's head might have exploded - and nobody wants that!!!

Unfortunately starts and restarts have always been Danica's downfall. She struggled on them in Indycar and now here. So I hope she can get it figured out soon.

It's kind of a weird deal. It's a great time to gain a couple spots(at least temporarily) but it's also the easiest time to get into a wreck.A good car will get you those spots back , but a good car won't keep you out of a wreck. Danica did a good job of staying out of bad situations and she was able to gain back the spots she lost . I thought she had a top ten locked up in the final run ,but it was the set up that let her down ,not the restarts.
 
Right, that late pit stop took her out of a top 10 possibly a top 5 thats for sure.
 
I think they would be nuts to push her towards aggressive restarts this year.

Kyle is a great driver, but those Gibbs cars were dominate with Joey and Denny too. I love how Kez used to get under those cars on pit road and look at the setup. Perfectly legal, but Pop's Eury said he was pissing off Kyle and the whole Gibbs outfit.

Yeah, it's a beautiful thing, ain't it....LOL Even Brian Scott looked like a pro next to kyle....he totaled the car out and still only finished 1 behind Kyle.
