Nationwide Race Thread - Iowa

I know plenty of people who think short track racing sucks and enjoy the cookie cutter races.

To each their own.

Both can be great and both can be boring. Just depends on the race. But bunching up the cars and having to deal with lap traffic tends to create excitement on short tracks more often than not.

I'll be watching Ryan Blaney. He could be huge in NASCAR. There are a bunch of very talented youngsters coming up, so these marginal cup stars better get on it.

Will Danica ever be able to back up her practice speed with at least a top 10 starting position?

But some of those marginal cup stars were talented youngsters not very long ago . Lots of these guys really stand out till they get up to the top level then compete against the very best . I'm always impressed that marginal Nationwide drivers can go down to a lower series and win with ease.

It's never a sure thing, but I think we're watching 6 or 7 future cup stars in the lower series this year. 2 Dillons, Beuscher, Whitt, Stenhouse, Blaney, Elliot. Maybe Piquet Jr and Paludo, who are still on the young side.

I'll be you said the same thing about Townley .:D

lol ..not a chance that you would admit it , either .:D You probably got a closet full of JWT gear and won't bring any of it out .:D

I'm starting to think you're looking for encouragement to break out your JWT gear. It's OK Ted, but that poster on the ceiling over your bed is a bit much.

Wow, Danica's wrecked seven cars in the last eight races?

Remember everyone, we can't praise the racing tonight. NASCAR might realize Iowa produces quality racing and pull it off the schedule if we do.
