Nationwide Series at Gateway Thread

The more times i watched that it looked like Scott turned across brendans nose. He could of let off and given lagasse the space to race and move on but he already used up that privlage with those guys.

NOTES: The leader in the Nationwide Series standings after 19 races has won the season title nine times in the past 10 years. ... Brad Keselowski captured just his second pole in 88 races. ... Edwards arrived at Gateway by riding his bike 190 miles from his hometown of Columbia, Mo., on Tuesday. ... The first 67 laps were run without a caution, the cleanest start in the 13-year history of the event. The pole-sitter has won only once at Gateway. ... Steve Wallace was penalized one lap for an improper hand gesture toward Scott Legasse Jr. following a mix-up on lap 84.

The Edwards info is an interesting tidbit.
Wallace was penalized for 'an improper hand gesture' (not chasing down another driver under caution)...funny what they can legally penalize him for ;)

Nascar Now showed Carl one night this week riding his bike. Took like 3 or 4 days. Said the worse part was about 10 o'clock to realize you were hot and tired and still had 8 hours to go.
Sr used to flip people off all the time. That is nuts to penalize a driver for that.

I thought NASCAR wanted drivers to show emotion.

Big E also caused a massive wreck on the last lap at Bristol one year when he took a cheap shot at Terry Labonte. NASCAR let that slide as well. And all the Kyle Busch haters that adore Earnhardt Sr. forget that as well.

NASCAR has double standards, always have and always will.

and...

Why is there no whining about Harvick refusing an interview? If it was Kyle Busch, we'd have a week long discussion about it..

double standards.

Crowd at Gateway is terrible.

The main stand on the front stretch was completely filled. The stand in turns 1-2 was pretty bare though. I thought it was a decent crowd especially with the Cardinals playing to a full house at the same time as well.

The race was ok and so is the track. The track is nothing to really rave about but at the same time there is nothing to complain about it either.

Did you have a good time? :)

I did. The race was so-so but the view from my seats was fantastic and parking was free. Overall it was definitely a fun time. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit this track though but if you are in the area than it is definitely worth a visit.
