Why are these commentators so surprised that Gordon is up to 6th? His troubles were early and he's had one of the fastest cars every week. Should be expected that he will move up to the front.

He said it perfectly. He was angry at a pathetic 72 year old man. Except for those who sat behind Morgan in 3rd grade and think that because he's in NASCAR means they'll have a chance someday, everybody saw the same thing.

Shepherd doesn't belong out there. He's 12 mph off the pace now. In IndyCar or F1 he would have been black flagged for being 5% off the speed of the leader for too long. But I guess he "belongs" out there and "let him have fun" as he keeps piling up championship contenders.
 
McMurray stopped up the bottom pretty bad there on that restart

First off, don't call us the ones advocating for him to race idiots.

Secondly, for a man whos that age. He sure is doing a lot more and drives a hell a lot better than most of us. We've seen drivers lose their cars, that was nothing new. The fact that it was Morgan you have to be a complete asshat about it. I'm just gonna leave it at this, if I wanted to be happy and continue I would. Its all up to him, but this was probably a one off anyways.

Just seen so many older drivers do well, but Joey is right to be upset. Like I said, I would not be surprised if we don't see Morgan again. For once, can we hear the other guys side of the story?

Yeah then theres thinking... maybe.. juuuust maybe someone who has been racing for as long as Shepard has juuuust might know some track etiquette... absolutely no reason for him to drive that hard under someone in the top 5 from 15 laps down

Don't defend this crap. Morgan is way too effing old to be racing in America's premier racing division. I hope they park that old roller skating Jesus freak forever.
 
Yeah 2 wont get beat except by strategy if it comes to it.. would have been nice to see a Penske 1-2.. but well.. ya know... Alzheimer's :rolleyes:

It would have been bad enough if it were the 20th place car.. but to take out the 2nd place car from 15 laps down... wow
 
I just turned the race on, opened this thread and see everyone posting about Morgan Shepherd apparently dumping Joey? LOL! :XXROFL:
