The one change that we will be mandated for 2012 is a different style center in the wheels for t/f and f/c. The new centers are designed to put all the stress on the hubs instead of the studs. This should keep us from shearing off wheel studs. I don't know what their next step will be as far as slowing us down.

Went to qualifying today and did some poking around. 2 of the Force cars and about half of the schumacher cars have it, that I could tell.

Old, traditional design

Did you see Alexis Dejoria's new nitro funny car? That is the same car that Del Worsham was in last year. I was part of the crew that Del put together to get her licensed in Dallas last year.

We didn't get a close look at it. Did watch her crew guys take the windshield to the souvenior trailer, I figure each half was probably an easy $150. LOL

I heard they had a fuel line fitting came off the fuel line and leaned out the engine. We had that happen at Indy four years ago when we were qualifying against Ashley Force. But we had a much larger fire then Alexis did.

No fire is a good fire. (Double Entendre)

One of the local bracketeers left his fuel cap loose...made for a sight about 1/4 second into the run. He had a halon though, so he dented it enough for the safety truck to get there and finish it off. Still melted the hood and electrical.

I havn't been in here in a while. I hate fires too because you have to change so much stuff. But now days we have another computer with all the wires and all the fuel lines ready to put on if we have a bad fire. If you get a chance you can go to you tube and type in our drivers name and look for Indy explosion 2009. That was the worst explosion that we have ever had. There are a few clips from fans in the stands, but the best one is an ESPN clip with Paul Page and Mike Dunn narrating. I am the big guy on the starting line that the blond girl is grabbing. That is his wife. I'm her security blanket anytime something goes wrong and she was trembling so hard that I could hardly see the big screen next to the starting line. If you forgot the name of our team or driver you can PM me and I will tell you.
