New point system

Going with the flow. Typical herd mentality......

Look I hear everyday about 2 of the things I love (NASCAR and the Simpsons) suck now. Why is it so bad for me to just enjoy them in peace, why do I have to go along with what everyone else wants. I don't want to do that so I'm going to sit here watch my racing the same as always.

Not sure where you've been, but the Simpsons don't suck "now".
They've sucked for awhile......:D
Thats OK though, on slow days I still watch them once in awhile too....

The point system has sucked since the chase started and face it folks it ain't gona get any better till brian and company are gone

I will tell you this. If the new points system sucks, I will be visiting my local tracks every weekend, that'll be my stock car fix instead of Sprint Cup.

That's what you should be doing anyway:D Always support your local track and local drivers. Those stands need to be full. It bothers me a hell of a lot more to see local tracks with empty seats thatn it does for a Cup race to have empty seats.

By the way, did a quick glance (thatnks to a Facebook question) and here are the classic point champions since the chase started.

2010 Classic
#29-Kevin Harvick, +230

2009 Classic
#48-Jimmie Johnson +66

2008
#99-Carl Edwards +16

2007
#24-Jeff Gordon +353

2006
#48-Jimmie Johnson +4

2005
#20-Tony Stewart +215

2004
#24-Jeff Gordon +47

I don't watch the Simpsons, shows like this and the Fox Sunday night lineup is just dumbing down Americans. I quit watching cartoons when I was a teenager. Girls started to be far more interesting than cartoons. Girls and building model cars (dragsters actually).

Spot on advice. I am going to get a fix of racing with the Rumble series here in a few weeks.

You all should come down to Winchester speedway next fall if you want to see some real racing. :beerbang:

Something tells me Sports Car racing will have some bigger audiences next year, that and Lemons/Chump racing.

Choice E: All of the above

Although I for one would be happy if somebody televised Lemons and Chump Car...shoot, somebody pay me, and I'll make the circuits with my DV cam and broadcastt on youtube :p

This just amazes me. At least once a week there is a new thread about how someone/everyone hates the Chase, or the points system. Now people are calling others names or putting them in an undesirable crowd because they love the sport of racing and don't care what point system is used. If you don't like where the sport is, you don't need to dwell on it continually. I don't remember who said it, but someone once said that you aren't really over someone until you can meet them on the street and just say hi. You people just can't stop griping about NASCAR when you see it wherever.

As for me, I'll watch the races when I can and I couldn't give a hoot about the points. I root for certain drivers and all I want to see is them winning. I continue to support my local track every Saturday night when they are running. But even there, there are people in the stands who come every night but yet gripe about something about the racing. Some people need to have it on their tombstone, I Hate the Chase, just so that everyone knows...even though everyone is reminded of it time and time again.

Dont worry CBS is giving the Lucas Oil Dirt Latemodel series a tv date next year we will have real balls to the wall racing back on a major network again and all will be good lol.

Well I'm just waiting to see what they'll announce first before I make my final decision.

I suppose griping helps keep the forum active.

The same is true for Griping about others griping.

So, here's to griping :beerbang: as we're all guilty of some griping from time to time.
