A tuning shop in South Florida called Performance Power Racing just set a new world record for the fastest standing mile.
They broke the record in a 1,400 HP Ford GT and hit 252.97 MPH. This makes it the only production car in the world to break 250 MPH in a standing mile. The previous record was set by a Dodge Viper in 2007 by hitting 231.66 MPH.
