NFL 2025-26

Looks like a lot of Ayahuasca Dreams on here. Suddenly my Steelers are a juggernaut? I did lock in at the 7.5 win total line last month before the announcement yesterday. I feel good about that but we did get the 41 year old version of Aaron Rodgers. If we're able to win a single playoff game, that would be a huge success.
I think the Ayahuasca he pursures is half ass.
He still has the ability at the dark resort to turn on a light if needed. When he he hits that meditation mat the light switch potential has to be like a steady faucet drip, ruining his Ayahuasca.

Throwback to when overrated Mike Tomlin punted down two scores at midfield on 4th and short. The Eagles proceeded to go on a 10+ minute drive and the Steelers never touched the ball again.

What are we even talking about?? A 42 year old now average QB, with DK Metcalf and a promising but young OL going to the AFCG or even SB??? Stop the nonsense.

Are we really going to say a team is bad because they lost to the Eagles though?

The Eagles are probably going to go on a dynasty run and a Pennsylvania Super Bowl is possible. FWIW, I didn't say the Steelers would win. The Eagles are, by a country mile, the best team in the league.

My point about the Steelers not being a legit contender in the AFC has nothing to with the Eagles. I was just being a smart ass by bringing up a notably bad decision by Tomlin and a pretty amazing drive by the eagles.

I still maintain the Steelers are not a legit threat in the AFC with a now average 41yo Aaron Rodgers, a top 20(???) WR, no notable RB, a young promising OL and a top 10/15 defense. As we know NFL teams can change in wins and success quite a bit from year to year, but there's nothing that leads us to believe the Steelers will take big leap from last year to this year.

PS I dont think the Eagles are going to go on a dynastic run. Im thrilled with where they are at but dynastys are so few and far in the NFL.

Things change fast in the NFL. But the Eagles have the best GM in football and all the pieces to keep building around.

I know Rodgers is old, but he was still playing on a very high level last year on a very bad team.

Pittsburgh can win the division and that division will probably be the best in conference. Cincinnati will be tougher too. I just look at what the Steelers have done without a quarterback the past few years.

Kansas City was just not as good as their record last year. They had a lot of stupid fluke wins on sheer dumb luck or from questionable officiating all season. Buffalo will be tough again but they just can’t seem to get to a Super Bowl.

I must apologize with the greatest sadness and regret for letting this thread get to five pages without mentioning Jim Bob Cooter. I will try to be a better person in the future.

The name Jim Bob Cooter is profound eleoquent poetry and fine wine for the ears. When his mother named the boy it was a gift to all NFL fans. He should immediately be inducted into the Hall of Fame for the name alone.

We had better enjoy the name and good times while we can, I am not aware of a Jim Bob Cooter Junior.

That Bobby Hill kid coaching the University of Tennesse will be the next big thing.

It would be but not technically because it's preseason
That’s unfortunate. I’m guessing because they’re kicking against 3rd snd 4th string players who probably aren’t as capable of creating a rush like the starters are. They must compare it to pregame warmups.

Jay Cutler is "elite" but Mark Brunell is chopped liver? Come on now.

Also, Carson Palmer over Kurt Warner is...interesting. And other goofy picks, like RGIII....does he really get credit for one good season? Then what about the good year from Blake Bortles?

I know whoever made this was just trying to be funny and take a dig at the Jags, but they didn't put much thought into it. And if you really want to feel bad about your QB history, try being a Browns fan

I thought it was funny but was also pissed about the Mark Brunell slander.

I'm used to people thinking Blake Bortles, Gardner Minshew and Trevor Lawrence are the only quarterbacks Jacksonville ever had.

Like I'm used to the Hurts slander at this point even some of the dumber sports radio callers in Philly will still act like he hasn't been to 2 super bowls and won one.

I want it noted for the record that my week one prediction last year was Chiefs/Eagles.

Robert Griffin "elite"
Brian Sipe "elite"
Rich Gannon "elite"

Joe Namath 😭

Anthony Richardson continues to be the most confusing player in NFL history.

I've watched some clips from training camp.

One minute, he looks like he's going to be the best quarterback in the league by far. And then a few minutes later, he looks like he'll be the worst quarterback in the league by far. And there's no in-between with him. He's either going to put the ball right in his receivers' hand or he's going to miss them by 20 feet.

Great dude but as a player he sucks and I've lost hope that he would ever improve. Even if he did he gets hurt whenever the wind blows. Colts need to move on.

I'll be interested in how Emeka Egbuka does this season.

I think this man's story should be posted at least once on every yearly NFL thread.
There are just not enough superlatives.

If you are to young to remember Joe Delaney, do yourself a favor and take a couple minutes to read about a real hero.
