NFL 2025-26

Bob Knight was snubbed for the basketball HoF. Pissed him off royally and he refused to be nominated for years after. He did eventually get in but long after it should have happened.

It's always the ****** Indianapolis Colts.

In ESPN’s report, it revealed former Indianapolis Colts general manager Bill Polian lobbied for voters to make Belichick “wait a year” as punishment for Spygate.

Polian, one of the 50 voters for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, denied the report in a conversation with SI’s Matt Verderame.

However, in a separate conversation with ESPN’s Don Van Natta, Polian claimed he couldn’t remember if he voted for Belichick, and said he was 95% sure, but couldn’t say with 100% certainty.

Maybe the NFL HoF voting system needs to work like a run off to narrow it down before a final vote (if they are not already doing that).

I am thinking that some voted sentimentality and used their votes for others assuming that their Bill Belichick vote was not needed because he was a slam dunk.
If they had thought that Belichick was at any risk of not making the cut, they would have voted differently.

I think that it is obvious that the NFL HoF will take a credibility hit. It will actually cast some doubts and take away a little of the prestige that was originally intended for any of the actual inductees in spite of their great careers.

The problem with the HoF's, MVP's and other voted upon awards is unavoidable. In the end it isn't always about hitting the walk off home runs, or scoring the last minute touchdowns or all of the other glorious moments.

The voters, including many who had never been on the same battlefields get to have their say. That doesn't always have to be a terrible thing most of the time they will get it right, and the overwhelming majority of the voted-upon recipients are worthy.

But still the same that kind of stuff will lead to some WTF, head shaking moments, even on a repeated a bases.

Winning a championship and other on-the-field accomplishments are just more tangible and undeniable.

There are many great inspiring stories, and angels like the Bama Girl that will be there to encourage my soul. Looking at her will get me through the game even it is boring with the added afflictions of another dumbass canned halftime show loaded up with the soul killing misery.

The half time show will be a hard time and I will probably need some type of impossible jerky to chew and bite down on, like a wounded cowboy in a cheap western movie. It will be a living Hell that drives me to despair and wonder why God allows this kind of stuff to happen.

But thank God the Bama Girl will show back up on the screen. That is when I will know there is still a God and a plan. That is when I will know that my wounded soul still wants to live.

You dont find a man in drag exciting ?

To each their own, but as far as music goes, I’d take the sound of Green Day over Bad Bunny any day. Call me crazy, but I’ve never been one for performances, which is probably why I never enjoy the halftime show. Even with in-person concerts, I’m more about the music itself. Last concert I went to was rather disappointing to me because the sound wasn’t great.

I love live music but I could care less about the hyped up side shows... A good concert also needs more time than a SB half time will allow.

I think something like a dog show catching a Frisbee would probably better than over produced crap that they are doing now.

CMC is great, but how do you not give Comeback Player to Trevor Lawrence?

Dude was completely written off. Back in October, the conversation was how the Jags needed to burn the building to the ground and trade Trevor and all that. Nevermind that, like CMC and Hutch, Lawrence was also injured last year in one of the most infamous cheap shots in recent memory. And now Sunshine looks like a top-five QB and has shown that he's not only not the problem in Jacksonville but is actually The Solution.

Nobody thought CMC or Hutch would suck this year after returning from injury.
