NFL Playoffs week three

BS call on Ray Lewis. I'm sorry but if the offensive player ducks and lowers his helmet when he's about to get a shot to the body, he deserves the concussion. If the NFL's so concerned with player safety, they should start penalizing offensive players for this stuff.

Just like defensive players are being taught that the 15 yard penalty is worth it if you take an impact player, offensive players have learned they can get away with ducking and taking the hit to the helmet and get 15 free yards. And, eventually, someone's going to get hurt, critically, playing these games.

Anyone agree with the earlier statement that Brady is the best NFL QB of all time?

I will at least agree that he is the best during his era. Maybe the best ever, but that is a tough to say. The thing about Brady imo is that he has been great with average receivers.

...and he has a ton of time to get rid of the ball. That, combined with a great arm a keen sense of the field makes him very successful.

Tom Brady is a great QB, no denying it, but he's always had a great offensive line around him. Bellichick's ahead of the game - he knows the NFL is moving towards, basically an offense only game. And it's working out masterfully.

Of course ,when your offensive isn't allowed to be touched at all, it helps.

Still, Brady is the greatest QB in the modern era, possibly of all time.

Knocking out a key player has always been Football. The animals don't have to be taught, they just do. If you ever get a chance to watch a 70s replay with aggressive defensive backs, just watch the spearing. I was a Cowboy fan in the 70s too and Cliff Harris was a human harpoon. On countless occasions the second the ball hit the receivers hands, his helmet was hitting their chest, it was a common thing.
Jack Tatum/Darrell Stingley got all the attention but the head first collisions was SOP throughout the league during the time.

We cant read minds, but I don't think anyone wants a permanent injury on their conscious, but retiring a key player from the game when possible is part of the game to exploit. Example defensive back is injured, you instantly pick on his replacement. In football winning the war always matters more than sportsmanship.

The Refs do what they have to do, the league has a bad enough rep for the concussions, with the power and speed of players today, helmets can be lethal weapons.

Ravens up 14-13 but it's an uphill battle. The officiating is so one-sided that even the Tom Brady fanboys at CBS have had to call it out.

Coming in February for one last show:p
