NFL Playoffs

not a fan......but hard ta see how anybody beats seattle for title at this point. ??

Got to like Peyton. A true gentlemen of the game, he lives and breathes football.

Say what you want about his playoff record, but to come back after multiple neck surgeries. I mean three of them to do what he has done for the league with his competitive nature and is a team player. No me or I, but what the team has done. I respect him a lot, but he's lost so much zip on his throws, he's never been mobile, so he needs a great offensive line to not take hits.

I just hate to see this happen, but father time is undefeated for a reason.

I like this and I don't even like Peyton. Well done.

The only way Seattle gets beat is if you can run the ball down their throats and have a large time of possession difference. Quick strike offenses get killed by their defense after 4 quarters.

I wish somebody in the AFC would step up, as there seems to be a real lack of parity in that conference. It's always the same five teams in contention: the Patriots, Colts, Broncos, Ravens, and Steelers. Including this year, only twice in the last 20 years has the AFC Champion not been one of those 5 teams (Titans in '99 and Raiders in '02). Conversely, the NFC only has three teams that haven't gone to the Super Bowl in the last 20 years: the Lions, Redskins, and Vikings.

I hate the Colts so much. If it would've come down to them and Dallas in the Super Bowl, I'd root for Dallas.

I hope Thomas Brady takes Andrew Luck to school on Sunday.

I hate New England every bit as much as I do the Cowboys. Was glad to see the Cowboys eliminated but not on such a lousy rule. I hope to see New England eliminated next week. I would have liked to have seen Denver advance but they played like crap. I'll be rooting for the Colts at this point.

I'd root for Lord Voldemort and Slytherin House before I root for the Indianapolis Colts.

He's the all time TD leader. Where are you on the list?;)
Ryan Leaf also has more TD passes than I do. So I guess he's awesome too then, huh? ;)

I'm not denying that Peyton is a great quarterback. Do I think he's the greatest of all time? No. He may be the all time leader in TD passes, but Peyton has benefitted greatly from playing in an era where breathing too heavily on a receiver will draw a PI penalty. He has gaudy numbers, but defenses are far more restricted today than they've been in the past. He's good, but one championship in 16 seasons is a black mark.

Peyton played on a torn right quad.

Suck it.
I'm sure that had a lot to do with it, but Aaron Rodgers played hurt yesterday too and he looked pretty good.

Once again, Peyton is a great quarterback, but he does have a tendency to choke in big games. That goes all the way back to his days at UT.

He's got a ring, & the AFC teams he's lost against were/are no joke. His recievers looked lazy & the Bronco defense couldnt stop the Colts. l

I was only playing around BTW.

Im not a cowboy fan and live close to Greenbay, relatively. I cheer for greenbay when my main team saints is not in it..Greenbay is danger of becoming my main team

Peyton had great stats in college, but was always known for losing the big game, which was Florida. which to me seems to be how his NFL career has been.

60 minutes sports did nice story on peyton goin back ta duke coach cutliffe after surgery .
cutliffe coached both he & eli in college.

ie---peyton had ta start over w/ basics / etc.

good stuff.

Yeah, John Fox....took a team to the Super Bowl last year and one game short this year. A coach 98% of NFL teams would love to have.

A super bowl that he lost so bad at that it's became a national joke.

John Fox getting fired after going 46-18 in four seasons, freakin' crazy. He took both Carolina and Denver to a Super Bowl. He even won a playoff game with Tim Tebow for God's sake. I bet he's not out of work long.

I just hope he does not go to atlanta

If Rex Ryan can get a job, Fox has no worries. Denver has to be insane for letting him go.

My guess is Denver is going to start building for the next 5 years and Get away from the go all-in on getting a Super Bowl victory for next season, like they did over the last couple. What they put together clearly had a limited shelf life and it didn't pan out. Losing last year (essentially being destroyed), not getting there this year is not a trajectory your looking for when your talent has peaked or peaking. It'd be a different story if the team had that performance and it was largely built on developing talents than veteran talent.

Excellent analysis.

Something's definitely up in Denver. Makes me think Peyton might be done.

He's set for life financially. He's a lock for the HOF so calling it quits wouldn't be such a tough call. Now the question is, will Peyton the player become Peyton the head coach? I've even heard rumors he might buy part of the Titans. LOL

If that was his logic, he would have hung it up after the operation. The man is a competitor & still has the skill level to play. Unless he's forward thinking & wants to keep his body together, he will play imo. Maybe that torn quad is more than we think.

If I were a coach & heard he was retiring, I'd offer him a QB coach or OC position pronto.
