Glad it happened this way. His signature shot against a goalie he'd never scored on before and NOT an empty net goal. Don't think he or anyone else would've wanted it to happen that way.
 
Truly an amazing feat that won’t be surpassed for decades, if ever. The longevity of excellence needed is what makes it’s such a remarkable record. He’d have 1000 goals too if it wasn’t for a lock out and Covid.

His goal record obviously stands above all. But my favorite Ovechkin stat is when he retires he’ll finish with the 3rd most hits of any NHL player (with an outside shot at 2nd most).

I assume you're referring to Tampa Bay? That was pretty bad. I'm a fan of both teams so just trying to enjoy the games but one of them has to be eliminated which sucks.

Scoring a hat trick in game 7 to send the team that traded you earlier in the season home. 2 third period goals to tie the game 2-2 plus an empty netter to seal the game. Add in an assist on the game winning goal.

8 points combined in games 6 and 7. You can’t make that story up.

Oh and Pete Deboer is 9-0 in game 7s as a coach.

Besides my sad sack pathetic Flyers being good there’s nothing more I want in the NHL than McJesus getting a cup.
 
Greatest trophy in sports and it’s not even close. Goosebumps.

Ps. Let’s hope TNT can give nascar something 1/1000th as good as this.

 
I like both teams so just hoping for exciting games and last night was exactly that.
 
Nothing here this season so thought I'd put something in.
Watched Pittsburgh go from a 3 - 0 lead as Toronto scored 4 goals in the 3rd period to win. Pitiful. I like both teams so not hurt but geez.

Apparently, the NHL website had something up briefly earlier about the 2027 Winter Classic being held at Bristol.
