NNS at Richmond Race Thread

Brad sure knows how to play the game. He timed it so he was exactly where he should have been when he reached the restart box, and that hid what he did. Scott got suckered into staying out front.

No. Brad jumped a restart, again, and got away with it, again. Had it been Brian Scott beating Brad to, or inside, the restart box, he would've been penalized just like Sadler. NASCAR gave your boy another free Nationwide win.

From Brian Scott's perspective, I'd have been a lot more aware and ready with a Cup Champion restarting the race with only a few laps to go. Brian Scott is as guilty for not anticipating the restart as Brad is for taking off half a car early...JMO.

Exactly. From where nascar watches the restart line, Brad was 2 feet in front of Scott when he reached the line, then he went full throttle.

I know it is a tough call, but nascar needs to be more consistent (and I have never been a big Scott fan).
If Nascar needs to hire a person positioned just to watch the line they should. It shouldn't be left up to some random call with subjective parameters.

Like a tennis Line Judge :)

Yes, he did, but Scott snoozing at the wheel allowed him to get away with it.

When did Brad jump the other restart?

That takes all the fun out of it.

Consistent is the magic word here. If they can put sensors all down pit road looking for speeding they can put them in the restart area and when someone jumps it the computor will show it.

I still think the key to Brad getting away with that is Scotts failure to follow the rules himself. He was supposed to drop back much earlier, but he was too focused on trying to run Brad to the apron. He even made contact trying so hard. Brad is supposed to have his nose out front and run his line while Scott follows.

brad coulda waited....fired off at tha line legally.....an prolly still beat tha 2 ..? .....but.....he didn't.
same camera shot they showed after race....... was available ta officials at re-start.
pure bs.

I just left the track and it looked like Kez jumped the re-start. Most everyone else thought so too....

I liked Sadler saying he was racing the 12 and the 33. He didn't mention the 7 of Regan who is now in front of him along with the 12 and 33.o_O
