NNS @ Iowa

I think Chase was pretty good about it considering the 16 and 17 second pit stops.

Also nice to see him beat the Penske car ;)

Yeah...I've always semi-admired...or at least given credit where credit is due to Penske...but he always looks kind of aloof...like he is in the sport - dealing with the mere mortals - because he has to.

Chase said you win and you lose as a team. Hardly comes close to what Harvick said yesterday. I don't think Chase was winning the race anyway but he would have had a better shot if he had good stops all the way through. His car was best on the long run.

Props to Sam. 54 team is really fast but not everyone can win in the car, Coulter has proved that.

Also, Way to go Landon Cassill! I wish he'd get a better oppurtunity but he's driving the wheels off the 01.

Maybe the drive of the year for Chase IMO. Took what the car would give him, and got the finish he deserved. Honestly, impresses me a hell of a lot more than the wins. This drive with those drives? Now we're talking. Happy as hell for Sam, and always loving a Toyota win!

10th today, he made up for his crew like Chase. A team that waited to buy their last set of tires. That is an underdog team.

Yet another driver that I'm wondering why they don't have a full time top tier ride. Nationwide at least.

I just watched the Iowa race.
There is usually a flaming here for higher ranked drivers picking on the lower ranked series.
Is Sam like Sadler now and not considered Cup material?

good race .
anybody notice new steering wheel location w/ hornish.....like kyle.... up ta chest. ??

chase got what he could.....w/ what he was given.

kwaz may have new life w/ chip ?

I thought it was a pretty good race. I suspect that was lots of racing going on back in the pack which we didn't see.

This is my absolute favorite place in the world to watch a race. Great venue, fun people. Sometimes the green flag runs get the stock cars a little spread out but this is a perfect candidate for a midweek, midsummer Cup race. Easy sell out (plus there's tons of room to stand all the way around the track if they wanted to do it.

The only problem with Sunday is that it was a Sunday. Dead atmosphere compared to Saturday night races there. Really wish they ran both races at night.
