Cup drivers brush up on their skills in cars with 200 less HP that require momentum driving style?

Ty Dillon, Chase Elliott, Ryan Reed, Dylan Kwasniewski, Dakoda Armstrong, Chris Buescher, all 22 or younger...not a developmental series? No one goes straight from Truck or K&N to Cup.
Nope its not .... if it was we would see 43 newbies

Thought I'd give it a shot because it's racing, but to be honest, I couldn't give two sh!ts about the Nationwide Series anymore. I don't really know what the series is supposed to be.
Ummm... it is supposed to be racing, no matter what drivers are involved, so what if a Cupper won, live with it. It's not going to change, the NW is no loger for junior Cuppers.

From a tv perspective, who would want to sponsor one of the regular NW cars if they never get any airtime. There is no arguing that the sport is all about money.

Really impressed with Chase Elliott yesterday. Cuppers beat him to death but he was able to reach up to the tail end of that pack and get some good seat time. He almost out ran his boss! Its about time I change my avatar soon. :)

Real impressed with Chase, Kids putting together some good runs.

OK then, I think I'll take a drive to my old elementary school and compete in the 3rd grade spelling bee this year. I'm a competitor and I just want to compete, so what's wrong with that?

I know that Cup guys have always run in BGN/NNS, but 2006 is when it really started to get out of hand. That was the first year that Cup guys really started going all out trying to win BGN/Nationwide Championships. Even though they can't do that anymore, it doesn't seem to have helped. Below are the percentages of BGN/NNS races that have been won by Cup regulars over the last 20 years. You can see the trend, except for 2012 (Kyle's KBM year in NW, also the year Carl Edwards stopped running NW):

1994 - 57.1%
1995 - 42.3%
1996 - 53.8%
1997 - 46.7%
1998 - 35.5%
1999 - 37.5%
2000 - 50.0%
2001 - 51.5%
2002 - 38.2%
2003 - 50.0%
2004 - 52.9%
2005 - 71.4%
2006 - 97.1%
2007 - 91.4%
2008 - 85.7%
2009 - 85.7%
2010 - 94.3%
2011 - 82.4%
2012 - 51.5%
2013 - 87.9%

All of the Buschwhacker supporters like to mention guys like Martin, Earnhardt, and Waltrip running in that series. Well, Martin never ran more than 17 such races in a single season while a Cup regular, Earnhardt never more than 14, and Waltrip never more than 12.

Meanwhile, Edwards ran every race in the series from '05-10 and 33 out of 34 in 2011, Logano ran 22 in his final year with JGR, Kenseth is running at least 17 this year, Busch ran 26 races last year and is doing so again this year, and now the lone full-time Penske car is shared by Logano and Keselowski. It's out of hand.

There's not all that many avid Bushwhacker supporters, they just yell louder than we do.

:XXROFL:

Excellent analogy.

Cant wait to see Mopardh's reply to this. :D

Why cant these guys be more like Gordon. Dude ran the bare minimun of Busch races and then when he said he was done. HE WAS.

Yup! Shocking isn't it.

Those percentages legitimately piss me off. What the hell have I been doing with my Saturdays all of my adult life?
