Besides, like some of you have already stated, I also don't think of Robby Gordon when it comes to that number. We need someone to represent that # who will build on it's legacy. I think Danica can do it.

Yea, and it's not like the 7 has been a winning number for either of them so they can't use the superstition angle. Robby did pick 7 because of Kluwicki so I can see that as being a good enough reason to want to keep it.

The most competitive car I ever drove looked like it was sponsored by Mary Kay and Victoria Secret all pink and purple with a #59 on it, but midway through the season the track put a Bounty on the car......it was never collected
God that was a ugly ass race car
the next year the car owner hung a new body and painted it metallic green with same number and we won 6 in a row to start the season.

Hell, I'd rather have an ugly fast car, then a good looking one that's slow. I'll run my 11 as long as I can. The number did not come from DW, Hamlin, or even Steve Kinser. It's a family number dad started racing the 11 back in 1964 when we started racing. But if i was to get a ride with someone and they had a number on the car, I would not ask to change it. It's just a number.
All us racers have number we hold dear to our hearts, but in the end its just a number on the side of the car. We may deep down want to run number X but in the end as long as we have a car to drive thats all that matters.
