No Crew Members On Pit Road After The Race, Idea

I like Kyle because he says what he thinks and he pisses off sooooooo many people.

but I see no problem with the crew being held back.
he was the only announcer who dared to speak his mind about the Danica. He had to retract most of it, because you know, got to keep the job and all, but at least some of us didn't have to listen to the spoon fed media syrup for a bit. I would like to think despite having to change his tune, he still thinks the same way. But while she may be a “marketing machine,” according to former driver Kyle Petty, she is not, he said, “a race car driver.” At any rate, I think the fines are a good thing, and that they alone will keep all the gang fights down to a minimum without a bunch more rules mucking up the racing.

If this is a team sport, the team needs to defend the bread winner ala Major League Baseball's rush to the mound.

No M&M s in my house but I have skittles hidden here and there

I have a feed bag hanging from my face filled with M&M's. Crewing all day. Increased my intake after the Hornaday incident. :booya:

Sooooo...How many NASCRAP officials would it take to subdue CARL EDWARDS if he goes into a full ROID RAGE on another driver on pit road...?

I know he was pretty mediocre for most of his career, especially the latter stages, but wasn't he actually kind of good at first?
He made it to the banquet a couple times.

I wouldn't mind if the crew members were forbidden to get involved in the post race driver confrontations.
I don't think drivers should be forced into one on one fights either, and I wouldn't be missing much without the fights.
I just think they should have to walk their talk. If they must talk about physically kicking butt some proof of credibility is a reasonable expectation.

But drivers are currently allowed to be phantom badasses with the confidence that the pit crew mobs will shield them.
I would like to see that stopped. It is just to phony and cheap imo.

I don't know. Let's find out. Where's Delana's wife?

Great points, but I don't have a problem with the crews getting involved. Think bench clearing brawls in baseball. That driver is the crews' meal ticket. Protect his ass. Having said that, I do agree that the drivers' **** talking is becoming stupid. If the ass kicking to threat ratio was greater, we wouldn't have time to race.

Obviously it is a subjective thing that good people, and even people like us can respectfully disagree about.
I appreciate the idea of teamwork, and protecting the driver. I just don't like the idea of drivers talking up a fight that they know is impossible to execute.

They can clearly create a riot or some type of fly swatting event with a couple of crews doing a dance. It is almost like a driver has a liesence to make all kinds of threats with no reality checks. It a phony type of bravery that will gladly put his crew members in harms way, knowing they will protect him like a queen bee.

The drivers that are constantly talking about kicking butt all the time and relying on their crews for protection are living a lie. It may be unintentional, and it is usually has a heat of the moment innocence. But the ones that do it all the time shouldn't get such as easy pass.

I will take it a step further and pick on my favorite driver, Kevin Harvick. He does that hot headed stuff all of the time, but how many times has he actually physically kicked butt, and pushing and bad breath doesn't count. I am talking about delivering an Ambrose type of punch that instantly ends the deal.

I am not wanting that to be a routine event either, adults usually have better sense. I just think we have a lot of crew members, essentially blockers preventing any kind of reality check. A reality check that some of those loud mouth ****talking drivers need, especially when they use their cars for post race or cool down lap cheap shots as well.
