NO Cup drivers at Road America

Two boneheads for this race. JV and MM for blowing an easy win.

Isn't McDowell a Cup Driver? He's going for Cup points so I thought you all would like that since you hate when Cup Drives win these things. Haha don't get me wrong I rather a Nationwide driver win also.

That was a dang good race. I really enjoyed it.

Way to go Ricky Bobby :beerbang:

Bull**** finish, bull**** non caution, then a bull**** caution.

Sorenson was second when Allgaier ran out and they give it to Fellows.

Bull****.

That was the most bizzare finish to a race since Montreal 2007 (where NASCAR decided it was legal to wreck a guy under caution).

So lets sum this up of all the stupid moves we saw tonight.

Ron Fellows for passing under caution
Michael McDowell for giving an easy win away
Jacques Villeneuve for causing a big crash by thinking he could pass in the grass.
Justin Allgaier for celebrating a win before he gets it

The only thing I can guess is they wanted to insure that Sorenson didn't actually stop/cut off of failed to keep pace. To insure the correct call was made. But it should have taken seconds not minutes.

But it looked simple, that Fellows was trying to buffalo the officials, he hardly slowed down, really if anything he could have been hit with a penalty for ignoring the caution.

3 GWC's ridiculous in my opinion. Those guys on the grass with less than 3 laps to go, should be told to signal the stewards their ok, but keep the belts on to avoid point deductions, and let the race keep rolling.

Can't fought Sorenson he done what he needed to do. He drove a clean race and out lasted them.

But Allgaier was the scene stealer or star today. A brilliant drive, MM hot dogged most of the day, only to let Allgaier quietly out drive him in the end. I can't see MM being proud with those last laps, while Allgaier should have impressed some higher powers today.

Sorenson a displaced cup vet won the race with no room for anyone to fault him.
But big picture Allgaier, won the war. He's young, somebody needs to be seeing Cup potential, the kid is on to better things.

Bonehead of the day -JV but he is still a former F1 champ.

Most damaging day- MM a cup veteran with the horse to win, made two or three late race errors. Probably lost most if any future opportunity's, at least provided owners some cringe.

I had friends over so I couldn't post and had one eye the race, but - that was a hell of a race.

WTG, Sorenson.
