Why is mark Martin any different than the other assholes out there? Dude actually doesn't know when to quit he steals a ride from David Ruetiman.

While I think Mark should have retired already he still has a large amount of fans that like him. That's what brings in the dollars. I'm not bashing Ruetiman, but I bet Mark has 10 times the number of fans, or at least 5 times. Some drivers never gain a fan base that is big, or it takes a while to build the fan base. Ruetiman isn't there yet.

Kram Nitram will bring attention (re: $$$) to MWR, where Ruti couldn't. Is it fair? Maybe not. But Paul Menard is occupying a seat that could be filled by a much better driver, except that few of the much better drivers have a Daddy with such deep pockets. So it's not like this is an isolated incident.

And yes, smoking pot does make one spell things bassackwards... ;)

That is my point. Mark knew what MWR did to Ruety was wrong, but did he tell that to MWR and walk away? Nope he jumped right into the ride and basically said screw David.

NASCAR is a business. Look at Reutimann's stats. They suck. And he has gotten worse the last two years. His average finish this year is 22.9. That is about as mid-pack as you can be. That is not going to excite the team or the sponsors.

Reuti lost his job because he's not in the Top 25 not because Mark needed a ride.
