Thanks for that. I understand what is happening, I guess I'm confused as to why lead lap cars are the only ones permitted on pit road?
It's a safety thing, less cars on pit road at one time the better for the safety of the crew members and it also lets the lead lap cars tighten up and not race the lappers out of the pits.

I don't know. I think it may be one of the rules that are out dated, something that was needed before electronic scoring. I like it though, anything to keep lap down cars from deciding a race is good IMO.

It's a newer thing sometime around when they went to double file restarts I think, I'm sure somebody will find a link.
 
Hopefully the last half of the race will pick up as it gets into the evening.
 
the 7 was 28 points ahead, I don't think he will have the lead, Hornish and Allgaier need to stay in it big time.
 
If I am right Carl can race in the NW series just not the cup?
