Official Banquet 400 Race Thread

He had plenty of gas anyway. You know how truthful Newman's crew chief is,

Ya know, maybe Bill has the right to be a little mad after that race. He led the most laps and had the dominating car all day. Then Newman with his "fuel Milage" stays out yet again and wins it. I also find it mind blowing that tires that old ran the fastest lap of the day! Sometimes I wonder about just whats really going on in that 12 car...

What's going on is the best engineers and crew in the game right now. Simple as that

:headbang: Way to go Ryan, only need 2 more to get 10 wins. Ryan's now less than 100 points out of 2nd and gaining on Harvick and Jr. rapidly.

bill can sometimes be a jerk
I must have missed it. What did Bill say that was so wrong.

Bill did such a mortal sin of saying "whatever" when they asked him the 2nd question about his finish. Why the hell would the man want to be pestered about losing another fuel milage race, and most likely about retirement....

the first race at kansas bill was being asked a simple question about the track by a local reporter and he told the reporter "why don't you ask casey he the young star" and got up and left the podium. The same reporter saw him earlier that day told a handful of people that wanted a autograph "I ain't got time fo that ****"

I really really doubt that Bill would ever tell that to his fans, and to a reporter. Why dont you back that up with a link or something of that matter...

Drivers are sometimes dissapointed and make comments in the heat of a tough loss that they may not ordinarily make.

Gotta give credit to Newman, his crew and especially, the guy (Nelson) that does his fuel calculations / strategy. They are an awesome team and it takes a total team effort to win nowadays.

I felt bad for Rusty as I thought this might be his day.

this was 2 yrs ago and the reporter was from a reputable local sports radio talk show.
I'm not trying to bash bill, I like bill, I liked him better when he drove a ford.
