Royal/Jim Stewart 400 was postponed until Sunday because of heavy rain Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway.
The 400-lap event will start at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
The drivers took 12 laps - all under caution - before the rains came Saturday. Those laps will not count, and the race will start from the beginning Sunday. The parking lots will open at 6:30 a.m., while the grandstands will open at 10 a.m.
This was the first postponed Nextel Cup race since Talladega in April 2006.
Hey Kellogs, looks like it didn't matter. Jeff Lead laps.
The difference is, if you earn it, no problem (even if I don't like it) I'm not watching today.
Ah why aren't you watching?
Its been racy.
Got something else important to do. Just going to check the board once in a while to see whats going on.
Kat, I was wondering the same thing.
I never heard anything about why #31 is out.
From what I heard the talking heads say is...........on Friday before the first practice, someone on the #31 team dropped something in the motor. Instead of changing motors they supposedly "fished" it out. Doesn't look like they got it all. What a shame! Someone is due a severe arse chewing for that!
