Old School Vs. New School

A poll on who's the better driver between Kyle and Kurt would be interesting.

Kurt has a championship so I'd go with the obvious.

Kurt has also driven less than ideal cars.

Ford and then Dodge. I'd dare say he's been handicapped while his little bro has benefitted from top equipment from the get go.

Kurt is really not that high on my list but he has been held back by less than essential equipment most of his career.

I wish him well in a Chevy with Hendrick power.

It would be but that pesky cup championship would end the discussion before it got started.
Johnson has 5 but watching him drive does little for me. Seen him drive a Nationwide car at phoenix and he looked like an amateur.
As far as I am concerned they could lose the cup cars, I enjoy the nw races the most --------- even the ones Kyle dont win

Well I agree NW isnt JJs strength.

Jeff and Rick must have seem something else because his 2 full NW seasons weren't up to snuff.

That wouldn't get you any type of rides in the top series.

I think Jimmie was guaranteed a Cup ride even before he took to the track as a Nationwide driver.

Those guys had a plan and it paid off amazingly.

There you go letting championships interfere with reason again :lol2:

Thats because Jimmy aint all that great
Mark Martin said that any driver can win with the best car.

What other stats do you want to bring up then? I'm open for a discussion.

Actually I am a fan of both the brothers. Kurt says he is the best................. Kyle says he is the best.
Dodge won the cup in 2012 and ford almost won in 2011 so they cant be all that bad
I enjoy watching both the brothers drive, Kurts third place at Sonoma was fantastic................. almost made me cry
2012 bud shootout was the greatest ever.................. Kyle CAN drive
Stats are just a bunch of numbers they cant replace the great moments these drivers have given us.
Who is best ???? Dont know anybody that knows the answer

Dot dot dot dot dot.

I shall now call you ellipsis man.
I used to ditch english class fairly regularly, does it show ???

Just dont call me a Kenseth fan please. other tan that I dont give a hoot

Besides making Kyle look average, what do you have against kenseth?

He's always seemed like one of the more genuine, down to earth drivers in the Cup series.

OMG THATS JUST WRONG :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Where the hell do you get this stuff

Seriously I did not expect to come upon that myself.

I was genuinely googling for a pic of Busch and Kenseth shaking hands and this was among the results.

I about felt out of my chair laughing. Had to post it. :D

He is a handfull of points ahead of Kyle after 34 races not that impressive to me. I wasnt happy when JGR hired him to win a championship, Kyle could do that with the right people in his team. Therefore I would rather see anyone win besides Kenseth. Also not fond of the way Kenseth treats his fans. we watched him all day at a tire test in Phoenix and not once would he even look up or wave at his fans on the bridge. Hell Jeff Gordon even smiled and waved several times at people that were yelling at him.

I was a bit shocked also
The internet scares me sometimes

But Kyle is the best most talented driver in NASCAR history...

Kyle can wheel a car, but he lacks the end of race toughness that DALE had. Even when DALE had a so so car all day when it was Sunday money time he could bring it home better then it raced all day gaining points. Even when he was having a bad day and 2 or 3 laps at the end of the race he would get on the radio to Kirk, Richard or Andy to see who was on the same lap as him that he needed to pass to gain points. He was always about going forward.

Goes with maturity. Kyle's not good with dealing with adversity. Luckily for him, he hasn't had any this year.

So besides making Kyle look average, you don't like him because he didn't wave at some fans.

Gotcha ;)

As good as Kurt is (and he is damn good) I think Kyle is even better. Easily one of the most talented drivers in the sport

Kenseth won a championship in a Roush car, that has to say something about his talent.

After seeing Kurt do as good as he has over the last 3 years around all the controversy, lower tier rides.. etc.. also theres that "pesky championshp"... and Kyle has been in HMS and Gibbs... I gotta give it to Kurt, I think if you put him in the same or equal equipment as Kyle and he wins everytime on the season. He's gone through so much lately I wouldnt be surprised to see him win the cup once he's in that SHR stuff.. maybe not next year... but before Kyle.. plus I like Kurt more lol.

Yeah but I've got video as well as I saw and experienced it. :D
Since the cheating example is being brought up. Like every week that I watch the race I listen to the online scanner that is made available at NASCAR.com. A few weeks ago @ Talladega listening to Earnhardt Jr's scanner a big deal was being made of some odd things going on with Kenseth's car. He had a very strong car during that race. What was being noticed by the competition was that the roof flaps on his car continuously ran in a slightly open position throughout the first half of the race. It was felt that they were trying to deflect air over the spoiler. I was real surprised that this wasn't being picked up by ESPN. They never mentioned it. It could be seen from Earnhardt Jr's roof cam on Race Buddy. Later in the race they were no longer doing this. I think that they may have been on to a little something there.

Yeah but it eats at his gizzard that he can't win the Snowball Derby because they run a tight ship and have kicked his ass and his team off of the premises 3 times for cheating.

I really have to wonder why Kyle Busch would go to these lengths to win a late model race ??
He wasnt even driving the car when it was disqualified one of the times.
Pretty cool that Kyle hired Erik Jones to drive for him after Eric beat him at the Snowball

It sounds like Nascar, for the last half of the race, may have been onto it also. :)

Kenseth always has a strong car it seems
