On the lighter side

DW sat down with a bunch of legends who recalled stories (I don't remember the name of the program). I'd like the hear some stories from ken Schrader; he told one on camera about taking under aged Jr to a strip club (Sr was pissed upon hearing about it). I'm guessing most current drivers would like to keep any embarrassing stories private - at least for now.
 
I have a new question and didn't feel like making a new thread.

How much does a wheel/tire weigh on one of these cars? I've seen something like 60lbs and I thought that was a little heavy for how easily they throw those tires around.

I've searched on the forum here and through my search provider but haven't found any clear answers.
Also, do teams add weight to the wheel for improved handling of the car?
 
Right around 50 pounds.

The weight of the wheel and tire is unsprung. Adding unsprung weight doesn’t improve handling. The opposite is true.
