If you liked old Bristol, ur wrong!
1961-2014: 13 races with 100+ laps under yellowI never liked the bump and run. Half the race under yellow.
Is it possible to have any other thoughts? I mean, he won everything.
Ah, but I don't put up with plate races either. If people put up with plate races I don't see any reason to complain about short tracks like "old" Bristol. I'd have to agree with @StandOnIt and say this race was one of the best I've seen in a while. However, I still think it lacks the traditional character that it once had. To me it would be like them repaving Darlington and widening the track because it's too narrow. If they really want to start messing with tracks I would go for more Texas style repaves. Make the turns drive completely different.
1961-2014: 13 races with 100+ laps under yellow
2015-2017: 3 races with 100+ laps under yellow
depends on the skill of the driver doing the bumping and the skill of the one getting bumped.A properly executed bump and run should not result in a crash
Personally, I prefer Bristol with multiple grooves and side-by-side racing. That said, old videos show single-groove Bristol was exciting as well.
Maybe we should have Bristol and a Bristol clone somewhere- one with a single groove, and one with multiple grooves.
