Our very own.....

I know this is an article on late models, but I have to wonder if getting an article on nascar.com is the reason for Andy changing his mind on the disgusting Chase.
It's hard to keep track of Andy's opinions on stuff sometimes, but I'm pretty sure he's always been in favor of the new Chase.

Either way, that was a bit of a lowball accusation IMO.

He wasn't in support of this new Chase when it was announced.

To be fair, just about everyone on here was upset with the new Chase format when it was announced. Only the forums' most diehard NAS-kissers supported it.

However, it has grown on some people since then who didn't like it at first. I am not one of them, but a lot of people who originally condemned the format have now accepted it.

Well we are analyzing AML's opinions on stuff.... **** NASCAR.com... It sounds like he's already made it regardless.. :D

Okay, you were actually right about his initial opinion and I was wrong. I guess that's what I get for trying to defend someone that can darn well speak for himself. It sure didn't take him long to change his tune, though. He was already starting to warm up to it by posts 322 and 328 in that same thread. By post 398, he had already at least accepted it, if not liked it. As ToyYoda kind of alluded to, I think he only initially rejected it out of shock.

Andy created that thread back in January, and I'm not gonna dig through any more of his posts to prove it, but since then he's definitely criticized NASCAR or certain aspects of it a time or two on here.

Anyway, regardless of what Andy thinks of the Chase or anything else, I still feel like your initial post was a bit of a cheap shot to take in a thread where IMHO, we should be congratulating him. Since I've already done that, I'm gonna bow out of this one and let Andy defend himself if he feels so inclined.

Another piece of wisdom from my dad was "Some people have so little ambition or drive in their life that they can't stand to see others succeed in theirs so don't listen to them". GO ANDY.

Okay, I probably should have started off with a congrats to Andy. Getting on NASCAR.com is a very big deal.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was not me trying to discredit him for his accomplishment.

A lot of my passion for NASCAR was lost this year due to the Chase, and I admit to being irritated with people who support it.

I was trying to find an explanation for him changing is opinion on the Chase, and came up with a weak explanation, not realizing he changed his mind months ago.

I'm sorry for pulling this thread away from your accomplishment, Andy.

Yep. :D

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – One of NASCAR’s oldest and most prestigious tracks will be in action this weekend, but not for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racing.

On Saturday and Sunday, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Cars will take on ‘the paperclip’ known as Martinsville Speedway for the 45th time in the Martinsville DuPont Credit Union (MDCU) 300.

The MDCU 300 is one of Late Model Stock Car racing’s premier event s.

Actually, this should read: The MDCU 300 is Late Model Stock Car racing's premier event.

No need to. Everyone knows I've been supportive of the new playoff format since NASCAR's official announcement of it.

But will he tell the viewers to "get off his lawn" ? :idunno:
Seriously though I wish him well, its a tough business he is in
Not if he expects to stay on TV. LOL.

That would be a cool way to quit, though, albeit highly unprofessional. There are a few YouTube videos of reporters quitting their jobs in dramatic fashion on-air like that.
