Man o man...the ones I had were all plastic, plastic wheels, plastic pedals plastic everything. Had to break by peddaling backwards etc.

I loved those big wheels. They were fun on concrete but a blast in the gravel. I could get those things sliding sideways, it was a blast. Wish I was still that young( and i am old 20 now)

Yeah, there'd always be one big whole in the front "tire" so riding it was pretty painful.
My brother figured out about the handbrake a little too late. He went under a friend's mobile home on the big wheel. 39 stitches later, we found out that if he'd been just 1 inch taller it would have taken off the top of his head! They can be fun, but when you put "boys" on them, they don't understand "be careful". Other than that, we had a royal blast on ours! (And I'm older than 20 pb)

My cousin and I would "work" on ours. We'd jack them up off the ground and then roll around underneath them. Don't know what we were thinking because there wasn't anything under there.
