Brian Vickers... again :(

I guess, since he won't have a ride next year and he's been screwed out of a lot of good finishes this year, he's cashing in his tickets for paybacks.

and sure did lower the re-sale value of some of those Red Bull cars.

Vickers is an intentional douchebag, therfore not worthy of a Bonehead Award.
My vote goes to Steven Wallace for his unintentional yearly quest for the dumbass driver award.

Funny, you condoned it when Kyle wrecked Hornaday under caution, and even blamed Hornaday.

Because it's Hornaday. Do you need an explanation? I watched him dump people the whole time in his early career, long before you even heard of him. Hornaday couldn't qualify for a tire changer on the 17 or 18 team :beerbang:

He must have been Kryle's idol then.....

Vickers

He should have been parked for the day, but allowed to run Homestead imo. I think Nascar needs to get his attention.

It wasn't on Kyle's Texas level of idiocy, but it was still awful.

Vickers has had some unfortunate circumstances, but that doesn't entitle him to be an idiot.

A contrast one driver for RB raced to win.
The other accomplished his mission too, to bad it was worthless one.

Kahne won a race -- I still detest him and think he fits the textbook definition of everything that's wrong with NASCAR.

Fine, life would be boring if everybody agreed on everything. KK isn't my favorite and he doesn't match all my thoughts about the ideal driver either.
But still he deserves credit for being on a good run, and getting the job done.

I reckon he is gonna be OK, without me being on his bandwagon. In fact my ideas in comparison is the BS. After all he's the one competing and winning, that's more than I can say.

I nominate The Media, they jumped so hard on the "One Groove Racetrack" story it dominated several much better storys. Then in the end it was BS we had some of the best racing at Phoenix I've seen all year.

BIG KUDO'S to Phoenix for taking the steps to ensure we'd see a great race :beerbang:

Secondary nomination to the weather forecasters  could'nt have been a nicer weekend.

Seeing how NASCAR want's payback with a cover story, Vickers did EXACTLY what NASCAR wants to see. I like Matt, but he sure had it coming. Vickers was smart to say "Why did he stop in front of me". When you don't wreck for blood, you can call it an accident.

It's Goof Bodine. I'm glad he wasn't on the track (or sliding off it) at the end.

Bodine, when was he last competitive in Cup 1992?

Kasey is one of the very, very few NASCAR drivers who not only promote dirt racing, but he actually belts his ass in a 410 sprint from time to time and hits the dirt. I, for one, don't see him as what's wrong with NASCAR.

Maybe it's cause more chick dig him than you? :D

Me! I DVR'd a darn cooking show.

I have a girlfriend who tapes all those shows. I put up with it until she set the DVR priority to override anything other than her cooking shows...................then I went out and bought my own DVR

much cheaper than trading in the girlfriend (unless she has other faults). you never know what you'll end up with next. <g>

Chicks dig him Andy. Chicks that are old and young dig him. How is there something wrong with that?

Him, not the racing. Most of those chicks that drool over Kasey -- well, I can write a novel about dumb statements they make. I'd rather see real racefans.

AML: How can you say the Kasey is "everything that's wrong with NASCAR."

That is such bullchit!!!!!!!!

My wife is a fan of a lot of guys, Kasey is one of them. And he can win. How about that. Can't say that about all the guys out there, and you shouldn't have too. Kasey has been through a lot of owners and he's still here. There's a reason for that.

Are you jealous? I don't see how you think this is a bad thing. NASCAR has to pick up new fans somewhere. I do not know a single young person (16-25) that cares about NASCAR or would watch it weekly. Most consider it cars going around in circles for 4 hours.

WHAT do you think is going to bring in new, young, fans?

Kahne is the 'definition of everything that's wrong with NASCAR'. Try explaining that one further. Unless he was the inventor of NASCAR's Chase playoff system, I'm confused. Seriously though I don't understand how Kasey Kahne represents anything that is wrong with NASCAR. The guy can race, he draws fans to the sport, he's very marketable as an uncontroversial figure in the sport.

What is that definition of yours for a 'real race-fan'?

Speaking of boneheads..... I just found this picture of Brian Vickers new paint scheme for the Homestead weekend.....

How is Vickers a dumbass again? For getting payback against a guy who has intentionally wrecked him a handful of times this year when he was never provoked into doing so?
