Interested to see how Jr. runs this weekend. If my memory serves me correct, he has done fairly well here since the repave.

He was first on the track when the sun had been shining all day and was still shining, 5 minutes after he qualified a huge cloud covered the track and stayed there.

Yeah at least he has a few of the chasers around him. Specially Tony. H'es the one he needs to beat.

Still, I dont get why Gordon is lacking so much speed this year. This year he didn't even lead a single lap on his best track.
 
Kyle Busch gets passive-aggressive discussing the #48 team after another inspection hiccup:

"A lot of these other teams figure out how to play by the rules," Busch said. "It seems like there's one that's sometimes late. Quite often, more than the rest."

"There's been some times this year where those guys go through four, five, six times and they're always late," Busch said. "Every time they're late, they're always fast. Maybe we need to be late."

That's Chad for you. I only wish Alan was as agressive in his persue of making Gordon better.

If you're going to follow NASCAR's rules to the tee your cars wont find the edge it needs.

You gotta take some risks here and there.
 
Looks like the Fords have found some speed, and the 18 is fast, so the 48 might have some competition. hope Newman doesn't do the fast qualify and then fade to the middle. He needs a couple of good ones for his resume.
