Crazy. Driver said he couldn't see anything going into the sand trap because of the flopped hood. Maybe that was a good thing, for him.
Sorta reminiscent of Jimmie Johnson's NNS crash @ Watkins Glen. Except he slid into styrofoam instead of tires. Not sure if that would have made a difference or not, though, as far as the car being vaulted over the wall.
