Pontiac in entry list at the rock?

Saw this at nascar.com on the entry list curious to why a pontiac is in the field for this weekends race?
 
Teams can still race Pontiacs, GM just won't support them at all. It's understandable that a part-time team would still run a Pontiac, since they likely can't afford a new car.

I guess Nascar still takes the Pontiac templates to the track? just curious.
 
I can't imagine there would be a huge difference if any at all between the Pontiac template and the Chevrolet template. Plus, it ain't like he's on anybody's short list of potential winners. :P

And yes, I know he still has to be legal.
 
The only differences are the nose & tail, so I can't imagine many big differences. The biggest is that the Pontiac would be a 2003 model car, when everyone else is running 2004 models.
 
Didn't you guys notice that I put my Bill's Beef and Ale sponsored Yugo as entry also... :P
