Postrace inspection

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Classic. What you going to do this time Brian?Your boy Kyle put you in another spot again. My guess is they come up with another lame arse excuse AGAIN and do nothing to him.

I wondered how we were possibly going to make it through a week without KB at the center of the news. Here is the answer.

I'm guessing he doesn't get a penalty.

If RCR got a penalty last year for being too high after the car got hit what's the excuse going to be for ignoring a car that's too low that didn't get hit?

Bet Richards' got a whole bunch of $150,000 checks.:beerbang:

They probably going to blame it on when Kevin run him down into the water at the start of the race. That cold water sprayed onto the coil spring and made it collapse.:rolleyes:hahahaha

Thing I've always wondered, is how do they measure ground clearance?

In my mind, you have all 4 corners legal. But if you put a spring rubber in the right rear, and run the wedge all the way up, the left front could easily be low, and right rear high. Do they measure with wedge all the way out or in?

If some of you Kyle haters followed him on Twitter you would have read where he said he was going to struggle all day just to make it to the front at the end of the race. Kyle also said that he personally went in early this morning so HE could lower his car. :sarcasm:

Do you guys really think Kyle has anything to do with how high the car is set up.

No, but he is the one most affected by it, he could lose points and thus lose points position. Clint Boyer was a contender in the chase last year, and yet after he was penalized, he was done for.

But that should not affect his probation as some are asking about.

They measure as the car comes off the track, your set up should contain allowances for tire wear, fuel burn off, spring settling, rubbers, wedge etc. That's how it was several years ago.

I can't help getting the feeling that NASCAR was looking a little closer at the 18 car this week after all the backlash in support of Childress following his fine.

Although I dislike Kyle I don't think probation would have anything to do with this ( unlike last week's truck race ). What I'm interested in is what the points penalty will be with this new points system.
Of course that will depend on wether the car being low is a result of the team bending the rules or just a parts related failure.

I'm with ya on this. Has anyone on here ever seen Kyle Busch with a wrench in his hand, would he even know what end to use on a wrench?

Kyle doesn't wrench on the JGR stuff but I believe he does have a late model that he wrenches on.

But even if Kyle did wrench on the 18, this issue was caused during the race. The cars are teched before the race, so it would have been legal then.

Never seen Kyle Busch work on his own late model -- to be fair, a lot of the guys with big money behind them don't.

He gets to keep 3rd place? Not right if the car was illegal. Na$car has a serious problem on their hands. A 50-100-150k fine means nothing to a multi million dollar operation. Only way to get their attention is taking away points from both car owner and driver. How many points is the problem.

I've said for years NASCAR should begin disqualifying drivers. A points penalty doesn't mean anything in the first 26 races because of the stupid ass Made for Jimmie Johnson championship points system.

Kurt and Kyle are both big time gear heads and know what they are doing, they are at a point in their life they don't have to work on them anymore.

Shouldn't be ANY different than when the 48 cheated twice last year.

Shouldn't be any different than when the 33 cheated at New Hampshire last year.
Does that work for you as well??
MoMike

Why not him losing points? Boyer did last year.

In the Chase no less. We'll have to wait and see how consistent NASCAR is. Since Childress got shafted I have a feeling Kyle about to get it too.
