Predictions for 2006

Ok I'm getting bored already and it isn't even Christmas yet! So what are your predictions for the upcoming season? I predict there will be a Union uprising.....just kidding...relax :growl: Anyway what do you guys and gals think will be the big story for 2006?
 
after having sub-par 05 seasons, JR and gordon appear 1 and 2 in points going into the chase and end up tied for the championship, with jeff having the tie breaker.

NASCAR finally figures out that soft compound tires aren't the way to go

Dodge drivers all pull out their intrepids 11 races into the season against dodge's will due to no dodges in the top 5 of any of the first 10 races, and nascar grants them the new nose after race 15

After realizing how boring not racing every weekend is, Rusty looks desperately for a ride in any series for at least 1 race

Scott Riggs and Micheal waltrip both hang in the back of the pack in the plate races, hoping not to land on their heads again

Tony Stewart wins the Daytona 500 and spends an entire hour telling reporters 'if you wanna interview me, come up here" while sitting on the top of the fence
 
I'll go with Jeff Gordon in the Daytona 500. And Jr to be right in there dueling.
I think KB will have some sort of run-in with Ryan Newman. Both think they are star struck. LOL
Looking for Kyle Bush to have a good year, though not a championship one.

Some lil gremlin in the back of my head keeps telling me this will be DJ's last year too.
Mikey will return to the back field where he was before JR's ride.

Kasey Kahne will be HOT.
Is that enuff??? LOL
 
Evernham will have major issues until it all settles out.
Jeff and Steve get it done.
Kurt Bush and Ryan-yeah don't see that as anything good.
Stick a fork in Mikey.
Jeff and Junior make the chase, (a no-brainer)
McMurray may have trouble with Jack, just doesn't seem like a good fit.
I also feel DJ is ready to play golf every Sunday.
 
Some interesting stuff there, here are mine:
1. Jeff Gordon makes the chase but isn't a factor
2. Junior wins his first championship
3. Kasey Kahne has another tough year and eventually gets the boot from Evernham( actually i hope this doesn't happen, but i just don't see that team doing well)
4.I think DJ will have a good year and make the chase
5.Kurt Busch finds Penske not a walk in the park
6.JJ again plants a few cars into a spin on a plate track
7.Rusty does a great job up in the booth
8.Jamie M. gets his first win at Atlanta for Jack
9. Carl Edwards makes the chase and finishes second to Jr.
10.The tire issue again rears its' ugly head, Nascar mandates new tire, but still an issue ;)
 
*Jeff Will win his 5th.
*Johnson will once again be the brides maid
*Edwards will not be a factor
*Kurt will still be an idiot
*Harvick will make the top 10
*Vickers may get the boot
*Kahne will turn in to another Harvick. (he let the "fame" get to his head and now can't do worth crap)
*Jr will make the case and will get a top 10
*Mark Martin will announce "Due to Jack not being able to find a driver for this car i am going to extend my contract tell hell frezzes over"
*Schrader will get a win in the 21
*DJ, Bobble L, Jeff Burton, Mikey, will all go winless
*#11 will get somewhere in the top 15
*#19 will yet again make the chase but will not be a factor unless Kurt Bush gets arested again
*Front Row Joe, will have a good year and might pull off a win
*Riggs will keep all 4s on the track at Dega
*Tony, will be Tony.
*Nascar will relize how great :rolleyes: the chase is and move it over to the NBS and CTS in 07
*RCR will move up a notch, after is lake of success since After Dale died.

not nascar but
*Jr will try to drive a late modle at the dirt track him and schrader just baught, but he will soon retire from dirt racing when he relizes he just cant do it.

They tried to have a drivers union once, but France kicked em out of nascar for life..
