PRIME broadcast: now that’s a winner!

I was ok with the prime gig, I get a little annoyed at the “complexity” relating to “recording” the races and being able to pause/resume play. It’s the last thing keeping me corded to Comcast, the ease in which I can record/watch programs. I’m addicted to cable’s cloud DVRs like Marion Barry was to a solidified substance.

The one thing about the prime races that got under my skin halfway through the first race was that stupid song. Every “break” in the broadcast they played it, instant blood pressure spike, I couldn’t hit the mute button fast enough lol

Say what you will about Fox’s coverage, cameras, commercials, pit timers, etc…..they usually hit several home runs with musical choices, and IIRC, never the same song twice.

One advantage to Prime was that I didn't have to worry about my recording uf the race ran long. If the rain-delayed Pocono race had been on a broadcast or cable network, the scheduled recording window would have missed much of it.

lol. Yes, that’s the ugly stepsister, Comcast flat out LIES to me when the recorder says “recording will automatically extend if program goes long”. Lies, all lies! It does, sometimes….sometimes not. Extra infuriation if a race gets bounced to another channel, that one really chaps my hindquarter area.

Fox re broadcasts the race at different times for network TV and also posts the race in it's entirety on YouTube. That has saved my ass more then once for parts I missed.

Prime has the races/practices/qualifying available on demand. Watched the latter two that way this past weekend.
