Push to pass in Nascar?

I am sure this has been brought up before but I am just wondering if anyone else thinks this might put a little more excitement back into this merry-go-round racing we have seen a lot of..

There is a push to-pass in NA$CAR it's called downshifting to 3rd gear.

JJ only won 1 purely in the old car in 2006. 2007 (16 CoT races), '08 , '09 and '10 were the CoT.

Yeh I know but it was still a Chevy, could you imagine if that was 1990s with a Monte Carlo.I'm just saying I miss that complaining about how one brand was better than the other, it was good for the sport.

The main thing that made passing easier back in the day , was there were a lot more slower cars.

The reason nascar went to the unified CoT BODY is pure laziness. One size fits all jig is easier to regulate than 4 different bodies with different specs.

Another fantastic idea for this sport! Do you think that there's any way that they can add those little colored turtle shells that they can shoot at the car in front of them? You know, the ones that can knock the other car off of the track. That would be cool too. Could you imagine if Kenseth would have had one of those during that last lap of this past weekends race. Bye bye Tony. That would have been a classic moment to remember.
