I have a question for those of you mechanically inclined. I recently acquired a 1990 Lumina APV van, and just noticed a problem. Earlier today I went to start it , and it wouldn't stay running. I started it 3 or 4 times and each time I noticed when it died the check engine light came on. So about the 5th time I pumped and noticed that at about 1000 rpms it would stay running. I noticed too that the Fuel gauge said that I had 1/4 of a tank left, so I filled up...haven't had the problem ever since. Do I have a fuel pump prob?
