Racing movies

The only thing I found a little far fetched is the man-hole covers. They'd fly higher than that..... Don't you think?
Those things are heavy and the cars aren't, could you imagine the damage if one fell on a car. :D

Seriously, those crashes in Driven look worse than the Dan Wheldon accident and the Wheldon crash was the worst wreck I have ever seen.

I don't think I've seen a better racing movie than Senna. I have yet to see Rush. Hopefully it will hit Netflix relatively soon.

Whilst not really movies as such I have enjoyed both the IMAX productions being Super Speedway and also the NASCAR IMAX as well.

I watch the IMAX NASCAR one a number of times before we come over for a race..... gets me amped up.

Oh.. and above....CARS, does it get any better than the 3 way tie for the Piston Cup. Goooooooooo Lightning!

With out a doubt it would have to be Senna. Have watched it a hundred times and I shed a tear every single time. :(

Just saw Rush... Slight SPOILER.

Good movie, not quite what I expected from a racing standpoint. I would still recommend it

The latest racing movie is as good as Day's of Thunder.

How about the FOX made for TV movie back 1997 steel chariots , it was about the fictional team called Tucker Racing, yeah , it was bad, but I did like it, to bad I dont have the VHS copy of it any more , it had a few Winston Cup drivers make some cameos in it , and it was filmed at Texas and Talladega. But the race car sponsor in the movie was that of the real life team of Tri-Star motorsports, and the #20 Hardeez Ford

Watched it last night. Good one.

Not knowing much about F1 I get the impression James Hunt was the lesser of the two and needed tremendous amount of luck AND circustances to go his way. Talk about gift grapping. lol

Lauda is definitely one of the all-time greats, and him missing races certainly helped Hunt. Hunt still had to put together a great performance at Japan though.
