Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Kimi Raikkonen could come back and compete in NASCAR for a bit once he retires from F1 (likely after 2015).

“I really enjoy the whole NASCAR thing,” he said. “It’s just completely different and fun. It was a good experience. Hopefully I can do more some day.”

Raikkonen had said in the past that he would most probably retire at the end of his Ferrari contract, but he is now looking to extend this by another year to the end of the 2016 season.

“I have a contract for next year and probably for one more year, but I’m not a young guy anymore,” said the Finn, who turns 35 today. “I want to do something more with my life than just Formula 1.

“I will finish my career at Ferrari. I never lost the passion. I will stop the day when I feel I don’t enjoy it anymore.”

"Tweet up" at NASCAR tracks is basically a bunch of frumpy folks and dorks like me standing around looking at Bob Pockrass wondering how such a dork is NASCAR's most active journalist. The "celebrity" guest was the President of RIR. Thrilling.
