Just curious and I can't find an answer. Does anyone know how long William Byron is under contract with Toyota or KBM?
He started with Jr. Motorsports then to HScott last year in K&N, just wondering if they locked him down or if it's a short term deal.

Do the chevy's generally handle the best with Ford's having more speed or is it a
result of the lame NASCAR 16 for my xbox? They have the boring aero package from 2015 which I thought was ok. I mean the racing this year is better but those drivers must have a handful. My max air pressure is 18. I can not imagine 35 psi in the heat at MIS

Posted on Jayski, , SportsBusiness Journal is reporting that these are some of the interested companies for the title sponsorship ,: Panasonic, LG, Coca-Cola, Goodyear, Comcast and Hisense

Comcast would bring some heavyweight technology and data to the sport while Coke and Goodyear play perfectly to the traditional NASCAR base. The other TV companies would be worse versions of Comcast.

If it is Com cast what happens to the Xfinity Series then, Xfinity is Comcast

I hope it's Goodyear. That's a natural fit and it doesn't sound too bad.

I think Hisense will keep growing and become a major player in the electronics business. So I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to invest more sponsorship in racing

Xfinity stays as title sponsor for that series, it doesnt change anything, Comcast is corporation , Xfinity is brand under Comcast.

Just in case some of you dont know, Comcast, owns NBC Universal, I am sure you can figured out where I am going with that.

5 big Reasons Fans Are Leaving The Sport.

http://beyondtheflag.com/2016/07/20/nascar-five-big-reasons-fans-leaving-sport/6/

Can't say I disagree with anything in the article.
I can.

Veterans leaving the sport? They've always done that, in every sport. Fans that leave when that happens were never fans of the sport itself in the first place.

TV coverage? Show me one fan of any sport that doesn't bitch about how TV covers it.

Toyota? Oh, please. That stat about how many races they've won across the board this year? Take out Kyle's Xfinity wins and it gets a lot lower. Kyle's X wins would be skewing the statistics regardless of the manufacturer he drove for. I do agree with the final couple of sentences on that subject: if your favorite manufacture isn't winning, it's time to nag them to step up their game.

I agree about the Chase and the erratic rule changes.

I know and constantly hear people say they quit watching because their cable company doesn't provide the channels. TBH, I don't care, but I believe the article has good points overall as to why so many fans have left the sport.

Let’s be honest here for a minute.”

I quit reading after that.......

Petty's fall Charlotte win in '83. The articles on cheating since then have had the names, dates and locations changed. Apart from that they're all the same.

IRP is fun but not better than IMS . Maybe have an April date at IRP. Richmond only needs one date. Richmond is Redskins country.

Rich Vogler died at Salem Speedway during an ESPN Thunder broadcast on July 21st 1990. I still remember watching this happen as a kid. He was suppose to make his Cup debut the following day at Pocono Race. That would have been 26 yeas ago today...

Danica Patrick

I have only changed my helmet twice since I stared racing 25 years ago. Once because it used to look like Paul Tracy's so I had to make it my own and the other after Dan Wheldon passed away and I donated it for charity with some special dedications to him. This would make a third time. Troy Lee designs has been painting my helmets for 20 years!!!!! So I let him do whatever he wanted!!! Thanks for 20 great years of looking sharp!
