Rate The Cup Race: Daytona II

Daytona has become the definition of insanity. At least they managed to go the final 5 miles* without wrecking....
 
3. Embarrassing. Happy for Jones but this just isn't it.

Edit: I'll expand on it, a few wrecks and a "big one" is whatever but every top driver taken out besides Jones and Truex is not entertaining.

2... and that's only because Jones won. Each plate race is worse than the previous, yet NASCAR will go status quo and continue to piss off fans.
 
I didn't even watch it but I could have taken a guess at what the ratings were going to be just by who was left. Typical plate carnage. I use to enjoy these plate races, but that is no longer the case. There is no point to them except to cater to those who enjoy crashes.
 
1.1, so my vote won't get dropped as lowest. Another wreckfest where a higher than usual percentage of normally competitive teams wound up in the garage, again.

3 maybe 4....some good racing but man it was kind of sickening watching all of those wrecks. Congrats to Jones boy
 
6 just because we got a first time winner. Thank god it’s another 6 months until Daytona. Same sh!t every year at Daytona
 
5, simply because of Eric winning his first Cup race, I can tolerate plate races, and even at times like it, but tonight was just bad.
 
6 . Too much of a 180 plus demolition derby. Glad Jones got a win and some also rans got good finishes, but with this kind of racing drivers have a better chance ridding around in the back until the end to avoid the carnage.

Racing was good when they were able to mix it up without wrecking 18 cars.

Congrats to Erik Jones. He’s a good kid. Always cool to see a first time winner.
 
1.7. The 17 robbed us of any semblance of a race. Yeah, I’m salty, but this was utter BS.

I actually feel for Jones as jerks like me will always try to asterisk his first win because of the carnage.
 
8, great racing when not picking body parts off the track and finished under green with an upset winner. Past two July Daytona races have been good, which is weird cuz this race is usually a snoozer

It wasn't a "good" race due to the wrecks, but the action had me on the edge of my seat all night. Pretty crazy.
 
4. And that includes extra credit for That Jones Boy getting his first win. Congrats to him... he's a class act, and I predict many more wins to come.
 
My rating after adding a point for the fantastic finish: 5.

There was some good racing at times, but there were just too many wrecks for me to give this a good rating.
 
Abstaining for extreme bias. Erik Jones. Hell yes.
