I didn't watch the entire race, I had other plans. However from what I've seen, I'd give it a 8, However, for the people who are in charged of Daytona upkeep, I give them a 0. They need to repave the track, and repave it now! Also, Fox needs to work on the commerical breaks.

7. Incredible racing. No major wreck.

Only reason I didn't give it a higher grade was because of the pothole issues.

Take away the two long delays for track repair, I'd give it a solid 9. Great finish, and lots of on track passing throughout the day.

It's hard to give it a fair grade because of the long delay and then the short one. You almost forget about what went on during the first half. Having said that, I'll go with an 8.

Great Race

I think I would have to give it a 10. It was action packed good racing(had no idea until the end who would win) and a great story of a driver who at the end of last year didn't even know he would have a ride and comes back to win the biggest race of all. I think the emotions that Jamie and his team showed at the end says it all. Sure their were problems with the track but hats off to NASCAR for fixing the track and getting the race in. I wish all the races were this exciting.

Other than the delays great race. What an ending. I think the pothole was where digger cam was last year!

I will give it a 9. Good racing all day long. I will give Nascar credit for fixing the problem and finishing the race. As for FOX I kinda like DW and the BOYS.

Pretty much summed up what I was going to say. I'll give it a 10 too, can't remember the last time, if ever, I have rated a race a 10!!!:beerbang:

I'll third that! Lot's of action. IMO the track issues probably helped the racing. Those drivers came back from those red flags and raced hard. The new G/W/C rule came into play and certainly set up an exciting finish. Seeing Double J start his season in the garage gives me a little hope for the remainder of the season. Notice I said, 'little hope'. Seeing Jr. charge to the second position in the closing laps gave me some flashbacks to Sr's last win. Seeing Jamie McMurray get that win was very cool. :beerbang:

The only bad thing I could really find with the race is that it is followed on the schedule by Fontana.

i'll give the race an 8, discounting the track repairs. it had a lot of good racing which has been pretty sparse the last 5-6 years. i'm hopeful for the season and a resurgence of what racing is supposed to be like.

+1

I'd give it a 10 not counting the track repairs. The racing was great throughout, and the longer green flag runs allowed the drivers to spread out more and really showed who had the best car.

Also, there was no Big One! Finally real racing on a Super Speedway with no 12 car pile-up!!!

Racing,8.
Track repairs,7. The track got repaired, which allowed the race to finish. I bet there will be no track issues for the next race.

I only give a 10 to a race won by my #24 car. That makes it twice as exciting in my book.

Except for the lack of a race on the track.Remember it is Fontana.

Hopefully this weekend's races will be as good as last year's Nationwide Series fall race at California was. I'll tell you what, that was the best race I've seen in the Nationwide Series in years.

I doubt it will be a good watch, they will only show one car all day anyway

Y'all stop picking on tkj. It is her car in her heart and that is what counts. Besides, tkj and I know that kelloggs is a closet 24 fan.

Kelloggs will come out of the closet one of the days and everyone will know she loves Jeffy Baby. LOL

I'll give the last 2 laps a 9 but the pothole issue was just retarded on nascars part. They should have just left it alone let the drivers go around it. They all knew where it was.

I keep hearing that, and yet all I can think of, what if they can't go around it? Like what if they're in a pack and can't go high or low?

Dang tk - I can back you up on the Jeffy stuff, but as far as DW & boys go... uh... not so much. LOL :D

I'll give the race 8.5. It could have been better, but FOX decided to have commercials while a lot of the racing was going on.

I meant it more as a joke but I would have like to see them race with it there. If they are in a pack then so be it. Hope you don't hit it. Make it more interesting.

To me it was kind of like Indy a couple of years ago. They all knew the tires would only last a few laps so let the teams figure it out and take the chance. No need to call a yellow every however many laps it was.

But whatever, I think nascar made up for it in the end. I would have been really ticked off if that race ended under yellow. Great finish I think.

Fox -2

Track-6

Racing before first red flag -5

Racing between red flags - 6

Racing After last red flag - 10
