Rate the Race: Atlanta

Restarts were the most interesting part of the race.

That long run, if your guy wasn't in the top 10 was boring.

Overall I didn't enjoy it more because I was doing math calculations every lap. lol
 
I'll give it a 7. Pretty good race with plenty of passing, but I hate how the outside line could never get going on restarts.

Not sure his "fans" are even watching anymore. This place is devoid of his fans when he's out to lunch. Win and they're here in bunches. Odd, wouldn't you say? :D
 
8, would have been a 9 if the top line worked on restarts.. Better than repaving though.. Great race.
 
I was worried about the new zone tire but it seems to have worked out pretty well.. I give it an 8
 
7. Good racing, although I found myself with nobody to pull for really. First Jimmie, then Clint blowing up with the lead! Ah well, on to Richmond!

Good race, I'll say an 8

We had a couple guys blow up leading; good passing throughout the night; some beating and banging; Chase hopes dashed and others locked in. Great night of racing IMO.
 
Please no repave! Sliding is what makes Atlanta great. Keep this tire all year. I like it. Solid 8 for the race.
 
To me the only thing that salvaged the race was the restarts. There sure wasn't (to me) anything exciting without them. Granted, I stopped for an hour to watch Breaking Bad, only to come back and find the field as spread out as can be.

I've been watching that too , I'm really low on JJ picks in the pool and haven't picked him for a long time . Happy , Happy , Happy . I have no idea what is going on there but it is making for better racing . It's kinda like if Kyle started having dnf's in Nationwide .;)
 
I've got 6 #48 starts left and only 4 Hamlin, which probably explains my poor showing in the standings:(

As for the race, I thought it was a good one.

I've wanted to pick Hamlin for the last couple of weeks , this coming weekend especially , but I can't figure out where that team is at. Teams get hot ,like Logano and Montoya and Truex , but teams go cold too. Like to see how Grubb would do in a best Crew Chief poll right now .
